Editorial Review for Ken's Steak House – by Eric Grossman

In Short
Dating back to the 50s, Ken's keeps its regulars happy by remaining relatively unchanged throughout the decades. The various dining rooms all sport a dated, country club atmosphere, and many diners still start their meals with onion rolls and cheese balls. Carnivores enjoy any one of a half-dozen different cuts of steak, including a hand-cut filet mignon and a juicy 24-ounce prime rib known as the "Think You Can" cut.

Insider Tips

Know Before You Go

Not in the mood for steak? There are plenty of old-school alternatives, from baked schrod and stuffed shrimp to veal with linguini marinara.

The Extras

Go ahead, order a bottle--the wine list here is extensive and reasonably priced, although many of the wines are available by the glass as well.

A friend and I went one day to Ken's Steak House. My friend had not eaten anything else that day but after eating fillet mignon and a salad she came down sick that night. She spent the whole night throwing up and going to the bathroom. I wrote to management and and told them what had happened and they never even responded. So I filed a complaint with a popular organization that deals with companies and Ken's managment still never responded. Eat there at your own peril!
