Horrible. At first I thought this was going to be a great service. They came across as very professional and diligent. When I came home, the house was cleaner but not $200 cleaner (my apt is very small.) I went to grab my make up bag in the bathroom before I went out and discovered that there was over a half inch of water in it. Everything was ruined! It was dropped in the toilet (gross) and no effort was made to save it or make me aware of it. We also had a broken picture frame. I understand normal wear and tear and minor accidents will occur but this was beyond that. I do not recommend this company.

Not Reliable. My wife and I are having family visit for the holidays, and we wanted to get the house clean. Called Merry Maids, and they were very receptive and even scheduled a free in-home estimate. When I asked if they had availability to clean they said "Sure, no problem." So the estimator came out to the our house, and quoted a price and we booked cleaning service for Friday. All set right? WRONG? Within 2 hours we got a call saying that they could not come out because they had other "regular" customers requesting service and a snow storm was forecast for Friday, so they canceled our appointment. Great way to treat potential new customers! I know this is a franchise operation, but I will never use Merry Maids again!

Best House Cleaning EVER. Just had my house cleaned by Merry Maids of South Boston. Hands down the best job by anyone who has ever cleaned my house, ever. I'm in love.

Best cleaning service in the known universe!. Service so far beyond excellent it would take the light from excellent three years to reach it. Seriously, George & Mindy LeFort run a branch of Merry Maids that goes the extra distance in ways you can't even imagine. We had a patient returning home from a stem cell transplant and George took over the home cleaning and preparation including disinfecting, teaching existing housekeepers to work with new products and masks and gloves and other sterile environment materials. When the client was in the hospital and unable to do anything to prepare for his homecoming, George even coordinated getting the rugs cleaned, finding a carpet layer, wallpaper hanger, pest exterminator, and he met with the city inspector, grabbed an electrician from a neighboring project to look at an electrical problem, and even bought disinfectants to distribute throughout the house! He installed a new shower head, shower caddy, toilet seat, and shower curtain and replaced a door. The floors were polished and sealed, he and his team put a new slipcover on an old worn sofa, and made the entire house sanitary and sparkling! These guys are my heros; fear no job too large or small; they will get it done! Simply the best, and caring as well. Kudos!!!

Best Housecleaning Service. I was working extra hours at work and got a call that my mother-in-law was coming to visit . My condo was to say the least , dirty . I called the Boston Merry Maids office and Mindy set me up with a free estimate early the next morning before I went to work. I explained that I needed my condo mother in law clean. They wrote a detailed service agreement to clean exactly what I needed. They also suggested cleaning the windows, and waxing some floors that went from dull to briliant. They were able to clean me that same day. The place looked great! My condo was sparkling and smelled great. I was so happy I set up biweekly service.
