Great Job!!!. Wow! Special Forces Moving just left my new apartment. They did such a good job that I had to write an immediate review. They showed up right when they said they would, introduced themselves and got right to work. The mover with the Irish accent who was leading the crew was very funny and kept me laughing the entire move. While it seemed like we were just having fun, they managed to move all my stuff extremely fast. They even finished the job in less time then they estimated saving me almost $100. They unloaded everything in my new place and not one item was damaged in any way. I will definitely be recommending them to all my friends.

Not-so-special Movers. I found these guys on craigslist and booked them to help me move out of my 1-bedroom, third floor apartment in Brighton on August 25, 2008. I read all of the testimonials to how great these guys were, how punctual they were and how great a job they did.

Unfortunately, I can't review Special Forces' punctuality or professionalism...mostly because they never showed up in the first place. I had reserved two men to help me for two hours, beginning at 9:30. At 10 a.m., after no one had shown up and I had gotten not one phone call, I took matters into my own hands and called the company myself. I would have left a message, had the voicemailbox not been full. A full voicemailbox signals to me a poorly run company. Not showing up to a job signals to me a poorly run company. No notice of a change of plans signals to me a poorly run company.

In the end, I had to move everything myself. When I finally did get a call back from the owner of the company, I told him what had happened and he was incredibly apologetic. Too bad moving is the sort of occupation that does not allow for any wiggle room and I was left to suffer the consequences of his mistake.

Unless you want to move yourself out, don't use these guys.
