Awful staff. I went to Market Lounge for a friends birthday on Friday night. The place was really nice .. Until you interacted with the staff. I asked one of the bouncers a question about the table we had reserved and he basically laughed at me ... Extremely unprofessional. The prices also seemed to change throughout the night, a beer was $4 then $5.

There were Kettle One girls there doing an ice luge. One of them asked us to go over and do the ice luge. When we made our way over there & asked about doing it, the same girl who had asked us to come over there appeared to be extremely intoxicated. She was falling over, knocking things off the table, & shoving water bottles in our face. Not only that, but holding a conversation with her was impossible. Also extremely unprofessional.

The only reason I had a good time was because I saw friends I hadn't seen in a while, but the place itself deserves negative stars for the unprofessional, unwelcoming, rude staff.

I will absolutely never go there again.

Jersey Shore. Title says it all. I haven't eaten there, and this review is simply for the after hours scene. Used to be decent, but now the clientele and staff are trashy and dragging the place down. This is one of the places where you should listen to the other reviews. This isn't a one time occurrence. Feel free to check it out for yourself, but feel free to remember my warning of bad tans and a douchebag loving environment. Everyone is a superstar at this place, no matter if their Escalade is under their mother's name and 6 months behind on payments.

bitchy Bartenders. Pros: Typical College Bar, some bouncers actually have a sense of humor, the bartenders in the smaller rooms are incredibly nice and patient The bartenders are incredibly rude (the girls in the main room ) my friend was closing out her tab and requesting her roommates at the same time. Now i give a lot of credit to people who work in costumer service- but the girls not only overcharged my friend she threatened to not give her back her card. I understand it was loud at closing time with the bouncers yelling - and my friend repeated herself several times without being rude- just simply stating her name louder so the girl could find it-

the 10 dollar cover wasn't worth it - not enough room to dance

Unauthorized Charges. Let me start by saying - if I could give negative stars, I would. This place does not even deserve one star. While at MKT on Saturday night - I ordered drinks one time for myself and a few friends. I ordered 4 beers which came to $20. I paid with my credit card and left a $2 tip (reasonable for the bartender just having to take the tops off 4 beers, which took less than 30 seconds). I did not open a tab, and I did not buy anymore drinks at any other point during the night.

When I checked my bank statement on Monday - I had a $30 charge from Market, $8 more than I had authorized. I called MKT this morning and the manager took my information and told me she would call me back. About 3 hours later I received a voice message from Elizabeth, the manager, stating that they cancelled the $30 charge and put through the $22 charge and then she hung up. There was no apology, nothing, just a 15 second message.

So curious as to why this overcharge happened, I called back and asked to speak to Elizabeth. She told me that I had opened 2 tabs and the computer got confused. When I told her that I did not even open one tab, let alone two, she transferred me to another manager. This time I talked to Kate, who was probably one of the rudest people I have come in contact with over the phone (and I've worked a lot of customer service jobs).

Kate told me that at some point in the night I must have decided to order another drink and they added it onto my tab. When I expressed concern over the fact that even if this had happened (it did not), I should have had to present my card again and sign a new slip, she told me that that's not how it works and every bar in Boston is the same way. I have been to many bars in Boston - and if you do not have a tab open, you cannot order a drink without providing immediate payment. From this point, she continued to make up excuses and then took on an attitude of "I don't give a sh!t". She was rude, unapologetic, and at one point screamed at me for asking her to repeat something. She then told me "mistakes happen" but still never admitted that it was a mistake or apologized. It was an attitude of, "you were too drunk and ordered a drink and now we're being nice and taking the charge off since we don't have a slip for it." This is NOT the case and Kate knew it and had no actual defense.

In the end, I do not know why this happened. I can only assume a bartender added on the extra charge and pocketed the money (which from reading other reviews, is not the first occurrence) assuming no one would look at their statement and notice an extra $8. This was a horrible customer service experience and showed how much the staff/management team does not care about the patrons.

I will NEVER go back to MKT again - and I suggest you do not as well. If you must, bring cash! There are plenty of other bars in the area that no one should have to go to this place.

Beer & a roofdeck. So this was another stop in our pirate pub crawl and it was pretty crowded. There were 4 levels and the first and fourth (roofdeck) were dedicated to us. The other two were private parties (BOOO), but we got over that once we got to the roofdeck.

So we brought our glass bottles up there and they were promptly confiscated from us and poured into keg cups. Something about not wanting glass on the ground.. probably a good idea since we'd been drinking all day in the sun ;)

We also got our game of flip cup ceased b/c we were getting too rowdy. I guess we'll get over that but at least we were hidden for a pretty long time thanks to the shrubbery shield in the corner. Good times. Cute bouncers...
