poor service. I went there on a sunday afternoon to watch some of the Pats game on the way home from playing golf. I ordered a sandwhich and a beer and waited over 1/2 hour to get my lunch. Bartender said she also had to work a function...why is that my problem.....????? Sandwhich was good, but waited much to long on a not too busy afternoon....

Commonwealth = common dive. I made the mistake of going with some friends to Commonwealth on Saturday night. The place smelled of old beer and a cover to get in there….REALLY!?! So I walked up to the bar and waited for a drink for 15min while I watch the blonde female bartender who I had hailed 5min earlier serve 10 other people who had walked up to the bar after I was sitting there. I was not up for making a big deal so I quietly went to the other side of the bar and spoke to another bartender who claimed to be the owner. When I had politely explained the situation he decided to start yelling at me and insulting me calling me “cupcake” and saying that if I didn’t like it I could go down the street. I could tell he was irrational so I tried to defuse the situation and order the drinks and forget about it. The bartender/owner then pours two of the weakest drinks I have ever seen while continuing to insult me. So at this point I politely told him that I had no intention of giving his establishment any of my money and walked away with no drinks. I walked over to talk to some friends of mine I had not seen in some time when the same bartender picks a fight with some of my other friends saying he is not going to serve them because they were friends of mine or as he called me “that A##hole”. If he was really the owner of that place then that is the most unprofessional I have ever seen a business man act in my life. I am a business owner and a professional athlete so I expect to be treated with dignity no matter where I am. I am not saying kiss my ass but he didn’t know me or who I am so he just assumed I was one of the pieces of trash he is use to dealing with. Reading most of the other posts on this site I would say this is common place for the Commonwealth. Just another common dive : (
