So this is now the second Ethiopian place that I've eaten, and I like the food here better than Red Addis Sea, but the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The address is 145 Broadway, and 147 is the same establishment, but a bar, so the restaurant is appended onto the bar. I met an omnivore friend for dinner who had never eaten Ethiopian food before. The menu is split about 50/50 between meat and veggie options, and the staff were very friendly and explained what the different kinds of food were, and were very familiar with what a vegan would/not eat on the menu (with the exception of the honey wine, which was offered anyway). We went on a weeknight and it was really slow and the chairs were kind of uncomfortable, but we were able to spread out. The food was really tasty. Lots of lentil dishes which I love, none of the flavors were too strong, and I got the Veggie combo and was stuffed after eating the whole thing (probably should have taken some home for lunch). Parking's better than the South End, and the prices can't be beat!
