What People Are Saying About BELLA SANTE

The Scene – Bella Sante's interior is decidedly pampering and intentionally calming, with plush sofas and chairs for those waiting. Patrons are required to turn off cell phones and pagers; loud voices are strongly discouraged--and children aren't allowed. Day-spa standards, plus acupuncture and acupressure treatments, are offered. The variety of facials available include green tea, spirulina algae facials and oxygen. Various massages, nail (manicures and pedicures) and waxing services and packages are also available.

Don't be fooled by the good reviews!!

This place is awful and a TOTAL rip-off!!
I went here for a SpaWeek pedicure yesterday, and was extremely disappointed. Upon arriving, I went to the locker room to change into my robe and slippers, and then waited in the lounge. The person doing my pedicure, Lucy, came by to get me for the session and was as rude as ever. No smile, no hello, and I just felt like cattle being herded. The rude service continued throughout the pedicure, making it an extremely unpleasant experience - the last thing anyone would want in a spa!
But wait, the worst is yet to come. I had signed up for a 50-minute pedi, but after about 20 minutes, the woman doing my pedi was already applying the base coat on my toes. I asked her why it was only 20-25 minutes long, and she brought the front desk staff to talk to me. The front desk girl was pleasant and said she'd speak to the manager about my concern (this is the only plus so far), and have her call me back. So, the pedi was done in 25 minutes, and I was herded back to the lounge, where I waited for my nails to dry.
I did also want to mention that I ran into 2 young ladies in the locker room, who had similar experiences. They had signed up for 45-minute massages that lasted only 20 minutes. I guess I wasn't the only one who got ripped off, but I wonder why a spa would want to treat potential new clients this way.
I am NEVER going back to Bella Sante, and will advise all my friends/family to stay away!
Finally, a great spa in suburbs

Bella Sante's Wellesley spa is a wonderful find for those of us who don’t want to trek downtown for spa services. It’s located in the new Linden Square marketplace. It’s a large spa with all the regular services I’ve enjoyed at their great Newbury St. spa. In addition, Wellesley also has a stylish hair salon. Making an appointment was easy and they sent me an email reminder as well.
Because I neglected my skin all summer, I had the Blueberry Smoothie facial that like its name really smoothed my skin. I also had a manicure and the spa pedicure in their comfortable and spacious nail area. After my services, since the stylist had some free time, they also gave me a free blow dry.
The staff was welcoming and gracious given I was a few minutes late. They managed to work me in the schedule so I did not lose any time or feel rushed. One nice treat is their organic raspberry flavored tea that along with various fruits and trail mix was offered in the waiting room.
LOW BUDGET
by Ally617xx at Citysearch
I have been to GSpa, Ardan, Canyon Ranch and a great deal of other spas in the area. Bella Sante is as low budget as it gets. Uncomfortable seating, a few smushy apples in a basket for a "snack," decor that doesn't even match and the prices are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. The staff is incompetent (my friend had to wait FOREVER) and the so called "manager" came out in a scraggly outfit after dodging phone calls numerous times. What kind of place is run like this!??
I will never return again. Horrible service
Girl's Day
by Loriv at Citysearch
I went to Bella Sante for a girl's day with my mom and sister. We were there for 5 and 1/2 hours- we had eye brow waxing, manicures, pedicures, and massages. The eye brow wax came out great. I got the foot facial and hand facial- I enjoyed them both, but did not think the hand facial was really worth all that money. The tech that did my mani/pedi had me stay in the pedi chair for the whole thing, which was great. However, my mom and sister moved to a manicure table and sat in not so comfortable plastic chairs. I had the citrus aroma therapy massage, and my mom and sister had the hot stone (all 80 min) and we all absolutely loved it. We had ~ 20 minutes in between services and found the lounge area relaxing. However, we did not bring snacks since the website says, "Please do not bring food into the spa. You are welcome to help yourself to snacks or beverages at our health bar." The "health bar" consisted of very small cups with a few table spoons of trail mix, 3 apples, a bunch of grapes, lemonade, water, and tea. For having been there all day, we were hungry before the massages, and famished after. I'm sure most people don't usually spend half the day there, but a more significant snack would have been appreciated i.e. cheese/crackers, granola bar or even a sandwich- we would have paid for it with no issue. After spending over $1000 for the day between the 3 of us, I think a sandwich would have been reasonable.
The absolute best part was the massage, followed by the very pleasant, courteous, and helpful staff. Overall a great experience, but next time I'll be sure to pack a PB&J at least!
- Pros: Wonderful staff, excellent services
- Cons: No snacks!
Best place for pampering yourself or someone you love

I had a fantastic facial and brow tweeze. My skin feels so hydrated. I next treated myself to the best hair coloring I have ever had. The new color is perfect for my skin tone and looks amazing. She cut and styled my hair. I look and feel terrific. Definitely worth it. I can't wait to try a pedicure and manicure in the future.
- Pros: Incredible facials and awesome hair salon
