Terrible. Grumpy bartender, music way too loud, mixed up the orders, no sorry - don't bother with this place, cold & unwelcoming, shouldn't be open as the bartender seems to hate people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gross Dive Bar. Walked into "Sully's" last Friday night at 8:30PM . I hadn't been here in years. There were only 4 customers there. Three were elderly men and one was a creepy looking guy with thick glasses. The first thought to enter my head was "this place smells like urine."

I sat at a booth because I was expecting a couple friends I haven't seen in a while. The waitress, the only person working, saw me come in but never came over to me. I had to go to the bar to order a beer, and after she finished her phone conversation and she served it in a SMALL glass.

I waited for my friends to show and they eventually did. Looking back to where Sully's (used to) serve food, I asked what happened. Turns out Sully's doesn't even serve food anymore. By the stink of the place, I bet the board of health put a stop to that. We were there for a few hours and there could not have been more then 25 customers maxium all night...and they were all guys.

I was happy to see my friends but I can tell you I'll never step into that place again. I'd give that place a 50/50 shot of being out of business within a year.

Uhhh, Dive Bar. I agree with the other reviewer. The tap beer in this place is warm, and served in small pint glasses. I also think I had the same female bartender, that wore mascara like no tomorrow.

I only stayed for a few drinks. Overall, not a bad place, but I wouldn't make this my main bar, or even a Fri/Sat night destination.

A few locals have told me the bar has a rough reputation. I didn't see any trouble. However, its not really worth going back to.

The Local Dive Bar. I walked into "Sully's" on Main St Charlestown to wait for some friends. I ordered a Guiness, which was poured into a sub-standard sized glass, was a few temperatures too warm and was half fizzle.

I honestly wondered whether she was trying to get rid of me. I was the only person in the bar, it was a Sunday night; its not like she was in a rush to get to other customers or expecting a big out-turn. Still, I was polite and told her I'd like a bloody mary rather than the Guiness she had poured. She gave me an astounded look, as if that was too much to ask.

Since I was not in the mood for warm Guiness, I offered to pay for the first and second drink. She only seemed to grow more impatient. At that point, after being (the only one) in the bar for close to 10 minutes, not having a decent drink, and honestly, have a bartender with dripping mascara giving me a hard time, I decided to simply walk out and never return.

If first impressions are anything, I'd say this is the dive bar for all dive bars: the owners are trying to squeeze as many beers out of the keg as possible with smaller glasses, they don't want to up the refrigeration and don't want to pay for better bartenders.

An "OK" Bar Surrounded by Better Establishments. I"ve stopped into "New Sully's" several times. For a local, neighborhood bar, the prices are steep. I'd happily pay $3.75-$4.5 for a beer if there is good atmosphere, food, entertainment etc, however, there wasn't much at Sully's. I usually head to to the Warren Tavern after 1 or 2 beers. The crowd that does go into Sullys is a group of regulars, that while good guys, aren't going to keep me there.
