This Colombian restaurant in Eastie doesn't disappoint in authenticity and serves huge portions of favorites (soups, plantains, traditional brunch) for cheap..
The Columbian flavor of East Boston may be one of the best-kept secrets in the city. If authentic Latin food is your thing, then over the bridge or through the tunnel you must go. Fried yucca, plantains, corn cakes, traditional Colombian soups, meats and fish are all proudly served, with entrees going for not much more than a 10-spot. El Paisa's endless options for plates and sides, along with an extensive wine list, friendly staff and welcoming dining room plus bar, make this a worthy visit for any chowhound worth his or her salt.
