“He called a handful of places that he knew were dog friendly but, in addition he called several places that were not, explaining to the landlord that we were good candidates, he really represented us.”
“My agent (Mike) was great, really helpful, and I was surprised at how many different places he had found for me to go and check out, all of which were a great fit for me and in my price range.”
As good as it gets in Allston/Brighton.
We worked with Ross, he was equal parts helpful, funny and knowledgeable.
While every single other agency was showing us nasty apartments above our price range Ross showed us much nicer apartments that were more affordable which made our decision a no brainer.
Go with Preview you won't be disappointed!
Good Listings, HORRIBLE service. This was the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Incredibly unprofessional and careless. Agent was incredibly difficult to get a straight forward answer from & found it an extreme inconvenience to make time to show the property. Had to make repeated requests in order to just receive a copy of a lease agreement which the agent informed us, wasn't his responsibility. I will NEVER use this agency again. Terrible & Unprofessional.
Good apartment listings BAD service. They get two stars ONLY because they got us an amazing apartment. The down side, once we signed the lease and gave them the deposit (in late June) they said they'd get us our copy of the lease back by the tme we gave them their fee and the last months rent (in Mid July). Well we gave them the rest of their money and found out that our agent Valerie hadn't even given the lease to the landlord yet. She assured us it would get taken care of. August comes around and we still haven't gotten the lease and ourr agent stopped returning our calls. We called the agency directly and they sent her several emails and assured us that it would be handled. Our agent dodged our calls for two weeks before calling us back and saying that she'd had to go out of town for a funneral, a couple more days passed and still no lease. We finally went to the office and spoke to the office manager. He apparently told our agent off and apologized and promised to take over our acccount. They have ignored repeated requests to supply us with our landlords phone number. When we asked why we hadn't recieved our copy of the lease yet they tried to convince us that no one gets a lease before they move in. Not true. Most of the problems were caused by one unnattentive and generally bad agent. It was made worse by the fact that when we complained about our agent they simply sent her an email instead of getting someone else to deal with it.
Real estate company with their act together. I think Preview took over the old ReMax office on Harvard and Comm Ave in Allston, and they've completely changed it for the better. They really have their act together - the realtors are very active in looking at apartments during their down time, and getting acquainted with the database listings before showing their customers around. Christian knows a lot about the area, he's been in the business for several years!
know this before you rent an apt on COREY AND KELTON.
So I came here from a bigger city and never thought that (his name shall remain nameless though I am sure he knows) the broker would rent me this apt with my BABY and not tell me that our neighbor is a SMOKER.
The owner of our apt never mentioned it either. Someone had to know, when you walk down the hall you smell bud as well as cig smoke. Not even MNGT could tell me or make the broker or owner tell me??? I mean c'mon. So here I am paying an exorbitant fee for a tiny 2 bedroom and I start smelling cig smoke. I am an ex smoker so this is even more annoying. Than it rains and the smoke is so putrid. It turns out it filters through the vents even if your heating is not on. So it goes in my bathroom at times, my bedroom and my baby's room!!!!
Please please please know that before you move to KELTON and COREY the smoke filters through. If you don't care ok but if you do, ASK your broker, the owner of the apt and than even double check with MNGT. They do anything to rent around here.
Editorial Review. Preview Properties features a variety of apartments for rent and sale in Boston.
Best real estate company in boston!!!!. I have been looking for a new place for next year and I finally found one with the help of preview properties. Looking for the right place is not easy, preview doesnt waste your time showing you aparrtments that wont fit what you're looking for. I went to other real estate companies and they showed me everything they had and tried to convince me that they had what i was looking for. This is not the case with preview. I also have a dog which makes the whole process a little harder but these guys have no problem going to bat for you if you have a good dog. I would highly recommend preview properties to anyone that is looking for an apartment in the boston area. These guys will go above and beyond for you, and if the agent you are working with cant help you bewcause he/she is tied up with something then another agent will help you out. Thanks Preview.
Great apartments, Extremely helpful agent, highly recommended. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place for the two of us and our 45 lb dog (Rex). Dusty at Preview Properties was the only agent who didn't give us a speech on how hard it is to find an apartment with a dog. We knew that already! He was excited about helping us and that enthuiasm showed right off the bat. We feel that Dusty went above and beyond to help us not only find an apartment that would accept Rex but find excatly what we were looking for. He called a handful of places that he knew were dog friendly but, in addition he called several places that were not, explaining to the landlord that we were good candidates, he really represented us. In the end we found the apartment we were hoping to find, an apartment that wasn't listed as dog friendly. Dusty made it happen for us and we really appreciate it. I HIGHLY recommend Preview Properties!
You won't regret it. Moving is one of my least favorite things to do, as well as searching for new apartments every couple of years. Surprisingly I had never used agents or real estate offices before. I came across a listing by Preview Properties on craigslist and I loved how they actually posted real pictures of the apartments. (A lot of craigslist postings say they have pictures, which turn out to be an office logo or something). I gave them a call, and set up an appointment to see apartments after giving them all the information they needed. It was actually all very easy, I don't know why I always thought it would be complicated. And everyone at this office was very friendly. The office is pretty small but don't let that fool you. My agent (Mike) was great, really helpful, and I was surprised at how many different places he had found for me to go and check out, all of which were a great fit for me and in my price range. I would definetly recommend renting through Preview Properties. I will be renting from them if I should move again.
Finally!. I went looking for apartments with my roommate for about two months without any luck. Craigslist didn't work out and after bad experiences with other real estate offices, we weren't sure if we wanted to try out another one. A friend of my roommate's recommended Preview Properties though, and we ended up finally finding our perfect apartment! Everything went smoothly, the agents were really nice and we didn't feel pressured into anything. They negotiated with the landlords for the best deal possible even with out us requesting this. We got a great deal, I would definitely recommend Preview properties.
