Same problem – I would like to know how this is resolved. I had a similar experience with them about 4 months ago. I took a skirt in to have it taken in at the seam. I had to take it back 2 more times to be fixed, and the sewing itself is really bad- it does not look professionally done. I asked to speak with a manager and they told me a manager would call me back. No one ever called me back.
Seamstress ruined my dress – Clevergreen's seamstress did an appalling job altering my dress- appalling! Not only was it taken in more than it was supposed to be, the stitching is extremely sloppy. When I left the dress into them the second time, I specifically said, if this is something you do not think you can do, please tell me and I will take the dress elsewhere. I also suggested that I would happily come in when they were ready to alter my dress so that I could try it on as they went. I asked that if there were any concerns, that they call me and I would definitely go in while they were working on it. I stressed that the dress is very delicate, and very expensive.
When I took the dress back after the first alteration, as it was not done well the first time, the women in the back not knowing I could understand Spanish were talking about me. They complained that I was back and that I was being too particular, and that I was a pain. I told them I could understand them, and asked them to please stop complaining about me, at least until I leave. They rolled their eyes.
No one phoned me about the dress so I hoped all was well. I went back in to pick the dress up yesterday. I asked the girl at the front, "how is it? They were able to do the alteration well?" She replied. "I don't know. I guess they did the beset they could." Is it OK?" , she just stared at and shrugged her shoulders.
My experience with Clevergreen is very poor. The staff were exceptionally rude and the alteration work was extremely poor.
Good service until they screw up and have to fix it – I like this place and have been happy with the service, especially alterations, until they put a 3/4" hole in my new cashmere sweater and didn't clean a slight stain I pointed out when dropping it off.
The staff said the manager would call me to discuss the problem. Manager never called so three days later I went back in and they said they would leave another note to call me. She did the next day and we agreed that they would fix the hole and give me coupons as compensation for the damage. Since I like the place I didn't want to make a bid deal and demand they give me money for the sweater, I thought accepting the coupons was nice of me. When I went back to get the sweater no one had any idea of the coupons and said the manager would call me about it.
She never did (it's been over two weeks now) and frankly I don't feel like chasing them to fix their mistake so I am taking my business elsewhere. Watch out!
Efficient and Environmental – These people know what they are doing. Customer service is good, the location is beautiful, and my clothes come back looking brand new. They also have very talented tailors and a lovely changing room for alterations, it's not like my old tailor when I had to change in a bathroom !
