LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Brandon Keith is a genius! I went in with terribly faded out light brown hair that looked more like orange with long dark roots. Basically, I was a mess. I wasn't totally clear about what I wanted, I just knew I wanted it to be brown and look better, so Brandon pulled out his book and we looked at some pictures and agreed on a picture of a girl with gorgeous medium brown hair and he matched it perfectly! It's such a beautiful color and I'm so happy with it! I'm a college student who just moved to Boston so I was relieved to find someone good on my first try. Seriously, if you need someone for great color get over to see Brandon ASAP! I was able to make an appointment the day before and really enjoyed everyone I met at the salon (especially Brandon's dog! so cute!)

My only complaint is that because Brandon is so good, he has a busy schedule and had to rush through my blow dry at the end because my hair was insanely tangled from the crazy weather. This shouldn't put you off, though. He is really great and so is the salon! Brandon is such a sweetheart and he will make you feel like you're in very good hands (which you will be!) Can't wait to go back!

No one else can touch my hair!

I started going here a year ago after moving back to Boston after several years living in London. I know how difficult it is to find a good stylist and experience here and surrounding areas, and gave BK a try on a walk-in whim. I've been going back religiously ever since, and consider the staff there friends just as much people I visit to help make me look great.

My stylist is Brandon, and I believe he can "cut hair with his eyes closed," as he boasted in passing the first time he cut mine. Thankfully he hasn't tried, and rather I'm able to sit back and close my own eyes if I felt so inclined knowing the end result is going to be exactly what I wanted (more often better).

Compared to prices I paid in London, or even NYC, Brandon Keith Hair is an incredible value for the talent they have.

Probably the best customer service in hair care!

Got a haircut here about a year ago, and I really loved it. Typically I tend to ask for the same style (layers and side sweep bangs, but nobody can ever seem to get the perfect bangs that I want - so I've cut them myself a lot and actually prefer it best haha, but that's off topic), but I roam around to different salons all over Newbury and compare each stylist to see who does it best so that I can pick a favorite/hopefully permanent place. My stylist was Melissa, and she was super attentive to my requests, and offered good insight and recommendations on how to make my hair look it's best. She really recommended color, which I would have loved if I had the extra cash for it, but she was so close to talking me into it that it made me think this place is more/better for professional coloring. Don't get me wrong the cut looked great and she even styled it a with a bunch of products (though maybe a bit too much product, because my hair felt a bit weighed down and greasy. The weighed down part I don't mind, since my hair is super thick and unruly, but nobody likes a greasy head). My boyfriend came with me and got his hair cut at the same time as me by some guy (he's not listed on the Web site) and he really loved the results. He's been wanting to come back ever since but never has the time/extra money to splurge on another haircut (even though he said this was one of, if not his best haircuts ever). So perhaps this is more of a male's hair salon? Which I think is great because from my boyfriend's experience those are hard to find.

In short, the attention to detail from all the stylists and the fact that Brandon (the owner, hence the salon name) makes sure to come around to each station to offer his advice/support is really worth the trip/cost. They also give away 20% off coupons to first time visitors (though my visit was a year ago, so I'm not positive if that offer is still available), so that's a big bonus point on why you should try it out.

• Pros: free snacks & drink, attentive employees, really friendly
• Cons: a bit pricey (but it's Newbury St. so expect it)

Best Hair Experience! Hands Down!

I am really picky about my hair. I have had good experiences, very bad ones, and now finally an EXCELLENT one. Everyone there was so incredibly friendly, I have been to other Newbury salons and I do not like the stuffy attitude. No attitude, and all talent here. When i get my hair done I never get exactly what I had in mind, I always thought maybe that was too much to ask, but I got exactly what I wanted here, my self esteem was off the charts! My color came out exactly how I wanted, and I actually felt comfortable enough with them to take some suggestion on something different from my normal cut. AMAZING.

These are not just hair stylists. These are artists. This place looks beautiful too, it's not uncomfortably huge, nor too small and it's comfy, the decor is rockin' I highly, highly reccomend going to Brandon Keith Hair if you are looking for a great experience. I can't wait to go back!

Also, they use/carry Aveda products here! This made me very happy because I have always loved Aveda. I also got turned on to this Moroccan Oil, which I had to get, it made my blowout really silky.

Best Haircut, Best Service

Brandon has been cutting my hair once per month for about two years. It has been a pleasure doing business at Brandon Keith Hair and have recommended him to several of my friends who are very satisfied as well.
