I thought long and hard before writing this expose
by just4urinformation
This was done at the Malden location - but incredibly relevant to this other location of Noelle's
I thought long and hard before writing this expose
seriously.
I do not like to say bad things.
However, after a few years of deliberation - it dawned on me
if I DON'T say something - someone else out there could really be hurt or such
First let me say - Noelle IS a talented hair stylist and businessperson - so it is evident to see how her business grew. Some of her staff - great.
However, the employees laughing behind the clients backs? Not really cool ... still - I get how hard work can be in a demanding customer environment - so I cut them some slack.
NOW: bad things:
I have fine hair - I wanted to thicken it up with some short extensions - just for thickness. I was coerced into long hair ... frankly emotionally blackmailed with comments about not knowing what I look good in myself. Ok ok - I'm to blame for listening. HOWEVER ... sounded a professional know that heavy long hair on a fine head of hair will pull it out? After my extensions were fully removed (I gave it several rounds of refills) - I was balding ... in fact I had to pay over $1000 for a wig at a medical hair facility in Newton to help me ...
THEN: Noelle's sister did permanent makeup on me. OMG She told me she had been doing it for years. I found out I was actually one of her first clients. I told her to be light touched. She was so heavy handed and kept adding more and more to even it up before she'd let me see ... she knew immediately there was a problem. Noelle was brought in and I heard them argue in the hall ... (on Noelle's behalf - you could tell she WAS really ticked off at her sister) ... I was told it would fade ... well That was nearly 3-4 years ago. I still look like a racoon ... and you know why? Turns out she ALSO put the lower eyeliner too low ... after enduring years now of being looked at and poked fun of by people ... being told by employers that my look was "too severe" for others ... I have saved up to spend nearly $2000 to have it removed in a hospital - because I was told it was too chancey to do under the eye with other methods.
PLEASE - and again, I really thought long and hard about this before writing - I am only writing because I do not wish ANYONE to have to endure the embarassment, pain, shame and loss of work I have experienced. I am not litigous - I have no intention of sueing - however, just for the readers knowledge? 2 lawyers came up to me at different functions - and told me they would GLADLY take her to court and win. 1 because he said it would be open and shut for lying about her experience. The other because she said that woman should be shut down before someone gets hurt.
Note: I am not even going to get into the issues about their attitude afterward. I was pretty nice - and after I started going bald - they said pretty much "oh well"
- Pros: Noelle is talented
- Cons: permanent makeup messed up, hair extensions caused baldness
