Fresh, Tasty, Unique Pizza!.
We ordered two pizzas to share: the Margherita and The Bean. Both were unique and delicious!
Both pizza crusts are very thin, almost cracker-like, but still bread like. The Margherita pizza's sauce tastes so fresh - and it is! I saw them making a huge vat of sauce in the kitchen in a bucket with a giant immersion blender! The mozzarella and basil are also fresh and combine to create a perfect traditional style pizza. While this is probably the most traditional pizza on the menu, it's much more unique than a traditional pizza found anywhere else. I will call it gourmet-traditional.
The Bean pizza was quite special; I'd never had anything like it. There's no red sauce on this pizza. Instead, the pizza is topped with garlic oil, white bean spread, fresh mozzarella, sautéed red onion and topped with a spinach/pesto salad. It was out of this world delicious. The bean spread tasted like mashed potatoes and the salad on top was really flavorful. I would definitely order this one again, in a larger size!
Stone Hearth Pizza has a lot more to offer than just pizza. There are several salads, appetizers, sandwiches, and pasta dishes on the menu as well. They also offer gluten free pizzas! It seems the gluten allergy is fairly common these days so it's great to see more restaurants offering gluten free options.
Stone Hearth Pizza also has locations in Belmont and Cambridge. For more information about their menu and locations, visit their website.

Nice spot!.
Great place, good food with natural ingredients... Good prices. Appetizers as cheap as $3, draft beers $4. I'd suggest getting the largest pizza, as they are a better value than the standard size. Hard working, observant, and proactive service.

Casual Needham eatery specializes in gourmet, Neapolitan-style pizza..
In Short
By using high-protein organic flour and fresh ingredients (roasted cherry tomatoes, homemade sausage, white bean spread), Stone Hearth Pizza's namesake pies aim to please suburban gourmands. The pizzas come in only one size (11-inch), and are baked in a stone hearth oven. Fresh salads are also available; varieties include Caesar with homemade croutons and arugula with roasted Portobello mushrooms, Cobb Hill cheese, olive oil and thyme dressing.
