Tips for Blue On Highland

Trendy Spot in an Unsuspecting Location.
Blue sticks out like a sore thumb in the area. It's the only 'nice' sit down restaurant within a couple miles, which is shocking because of the town that it's in. There's a nice bar that is usually pretty crowded on the weekdays, and the staff is very good. The prices in general are a bit high, but they get away with it being the only place nearby. I recommend the cuban sandwich off the lunch menu, which is excellent. A nice place for a quiet date.

Loved it.
I went to Blue on Highland last Thursday night. The bar was crowded but we had no problem getting a drink. I had a guiness on tap and my wife had a house special martini. She loved it. I was happy because there were 2 flat screen tv's behind the bar so I was able to keep an eye on the sox. We decided to eat at the bar because we were meeting some nice people who were also at the bar. Apparently the bar menu is the same as the dining room menu. The chairs were comfortable and they set us up. The dining room looked more intimate but we were in a social mood. I ordered the caesar salad and steak frites. I was happy with both. My wife ordered the goat cheese salad and fish special. She loved them both. Overall I would rate this restaurant as good as any in Boston in terms of the food, service and atmosphere.
