Herlos Rosales...Simple Fantastic. I only let two people touch my hair, my hairstylist in my home country, and Herol. All my experiences with Herol have been Amazing! He is a great stylist, listens very carefully to your specifics, and cuts a man's haircut without using the electric machine. The best part is that he always takes time for every single detail!

With regards to Melt, the salon is great. Nice decor, a cozy environment, well managed, and educated and polite personnel. I always have a great time there

MELT is AMAZING. Belma is a new message therapist at MELT and she is incredible! I'm from N.J. and I get messages on a regular and I've never experienced something like that before! To Belma it's alllll about yooouu.. Where are you in pain? is this to soft? would you like me to use more pressure? I've had almost every service done at MELT Except for my hair but I hear Harol is amazing as well.. All of the employees including Angela ( the receptionist) are very friendly. I got that message done and i honestly felt drunk when i was done. Then they put me in this cute little couch where I was waiting to get a pedicure Angela hands me a glass of champagne. I'm like "Who is better than me right now"?!?!?! I highly suggest you give it a shot.. Do not settle for anyone but Belma!!!

Herol is AMAZING!!!. I have been following Herol for years now, and he never stops amazing me. I just need to sit in his chair and let him do his thing. Not only do I leave with a great cut, but my hair grows out beautifully. Last time I went to Melt, I was told that my hair looked like it had just been cut. I will continue to follow Herol no matter where he is. But, the atmosphere at Melt is extremely inviting and peaceful. Hopefully, Herol Rosales has found a home.

Absolutely the best haircut/color by Herol!!. From the moment you enter Melt Salon & Spa, you are in a completely relaxed environment. Then of course, you meet Herol, who is ever so attentive to making you very comfortable and pampers you. He genuinely takes a deep interest in discussing what you are looking for and offers suggestions to make change...amazing change. This is the best haircut/style and color I have ever received in all my years. Herol is very professional and has a keen sense of style and trend. What more can I say. Go and find out for yourself.

Best Colorist. I've been going to MELT since the summer and my hair has benefitted tremendously! Herol Rosales, MELT's primary colorist, is clearly the best hair professional I've ever worked with. My hair is thick, very very naturally curly (and unruly), very long, porous, and 90% gray. Although my natural color is dark brown, I've chosen to color it in strong reddish tones, adding even more challenge to the mix. Most don't know how to deal with this sort of hair, let alone color it correctly. Herol clearly has control of my hair, and the color looks the best it has in years. I must also add that the staff at MELT makes me feel like a queen whenever I'm there, and that sort of kindness and attentiveness is very much appreciated! Thanks MELT and Herol!

A Must See. I went to Melt last week to treat myself to a day of relaxation and pampering. From the minute I called and spoke to Angela I felt such a sense of kindness and warmth. She spent at least 10 minutes telling me all about the services they offer and put together my day. I cannot say enough about this place, they are so attentive towards you and make you feel more like a friend than a client!! The services were great and I left feeling so relaxed!! This is definetly a place to check out!!

You have to try this salon!. My neice and I went to Melt Salon & Spa today (Wednesday 11/11/09), and we were amazed at the fabulous haircuts/styles we were given by Herol Rosales! My neice is 30 years old and has thick beautiful hair. He did a masterful job on her hair. I am 52 years old and have some of the most difficult (super-fine, very dry, cowlicks all over my scalp) hair imaginable! I cannot believe what a miracle Herol performed on my hair. I've NEVER been so happy after a haircut/style in my whole life! He spent an excessive amount of time and effort and did a phenomenal job on each of us. It's actually hard to believe that my horrible hair can look this fantastic! Also, everyone at Melt Salon was extremely friendly and kind. I'm a very shy person, but as soon as we walked into this very stylish and fashionable salon, my neice and I were treated as if they'd known us for years. I have never felt so very welcome and comfortable at any salon! I just can't think of enough to say about this place. And...to top it off, the prices are beyond reasonable!! Even though I paid for myself and my neice, and left a fairly good tip, I was shocked to find it cost about half of what I expected to pay!! We were both so excited with the incredible results when Herol was finished, that we each made appointments in another two weeks for color. Honestly, for the first time in my life, my hair looks beautiful and I feel terrific! I am now a forever fan of Melt Salon & Spa. Also, I'm in awe of the artistic and creative genius of Herol Rosales!!

Great pedicure. Tried Melt after I read the Stuff beauty awards because they won best specialty pedicure. It was much different from the average walk-in experience. Loved the service, Kristie did a great job. It was more like having a foot/leg massage than just having your toes done. She used a custom made scrub that left my feet so soft..

This spa is Awesome!!!. I received a Gift Certificate for my birthday from my girlfriends to this place and can't say enough about how great it is. The staff are so attentive and can't do enough for you. I had a facial from Katie and a pedicure from Lucelli which was the best I have ever had!!! I met the owner who made sure to come over and see if I needed anything and to introduce herself to me which I thought was very nice. I have been to a few places on Newbury Street, but this by far is the best. I can't wait to go back!!

Brides beware!. I've gone to Melt for Luzerne facials in the past, and I've always loved the results. So when I was booking pre-wedding beauty appointments for my recent wedding, I naturally called Melt to book a facial for two days before the big day. They recommended a Hydrafacial for me--they promised that it's safe for all skin types (mine is sensitive) and that I would be glowy for a week afterward. That certainly wasn't the outcome I got. My skin was extremely red, and peeling and flaking all over the bottom half of my face and didn't clear up until the MIDDLE OF MY HONEYMOON. $200 wasted to ruin my skin for my wedding! I wanted to cry every time I looked in the mirror. And when I called after to tell them the problem, the manager's response was "Oh really? Sorry about that." In the past I would have recommended this spa in a heartbeat--now you couldn't pay me to go back.
