TERRIBLE SPA, DON'T BOTHER. This spa is terrible, the receptionist is rude the owner is unprofessional, and the service was horrible! 4 of us took a girls trip to Boston and wanted a day of relaxation! So after looking thru all of the reviews we settled with Melt, well this was a huge mistake for us. After 3 of us were already being treated, they inform my pregnant friend that her prenatal massage was not happening. So she sat there for over an hour waiting for us to get done, and was in tears by the time we got out of there. After we inquired if they could at least buy her lunch for wasting her time the owner told us she could not!!! This RUDE and UNREAL behavior, was shocking especially in a time when I am sure not a lot of people are pampering themselves, and it was their mistake!

I would never want someone else's girls trip to get off to such a horrible beginning. So if it is stress free, relaxation and professionalism you are looking for, DON'T choose MELT as your spa.…

Best day ever!. I came to Melt because of all the wonderful reviews. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous after reading some of the negative comments, but I had the best time and I guess you can't please every one! some people just like to complain! I work in the service industry and sometimes things don't go the way they are intended and you cant control that.

But I Highly recommend this place. My partner booked me the massage and facial for my birthday. I was greeted by the sweetest girl and offered a beverage of my choice. OF COURSE I choose champagne! I waited for a short bit and then I started off with the facial and Sally was just wonderful. I fell asleep halfway through! Then Kathy ( I think that was her name ) came in the room and started the massage. This was my FIRST massage! I was scared but she explained everything to me and once she began all my nerves were calmed. I really loved it, she had a calming touch and I will be back for another! Plus she got this awful knot I had in my neck out! As I came out the receptionist asked me how everything was, I was really happy they asked for feed back because I wanted to give credit to the girls that I had. I felt so at home here and taken care of, not like those snotty places that are too good to even talk to you.

The only bad things was they only accept tips in cash or check, but I had my partner run to a atm so it ended beautifully!

Worst massage ever not a good overall experience. I arrived 15 minutes early as I was told to but was just told to take a seat so there was NO reason to get there early except to fill out a short form. I was never offered a robe and slippers and there is no room other than the initial waiting area where you walk in. Nobody was in a robe so I didn't ask for one although I had scheduled multiple appointments.

It was rediculous, I sat waiting and was taken 20 minutes late so at that point I waited 35 minutes to start the massage. The therapist was not good and didn't know I had scheduled a deep tissue massage. She started rubbing lightly with her knuckels and after 10 minutes I asked what she was doing it just went from bad to worse and we ended the massage and I didn't have to pay. The I had a wax which was fine.

Then I had to wait another hour and a half for my mani/pedi b/c I didn't have the full massage and the schedule got all screwed up. They said they were going to try to move up the appointment but that never happened. I wish I had known and I would have left and come back. The mani/pedi was pretty good but over priced.

The whole experience was expensive and exhausting and NOT a first class spa of any kind. I would not recommend it and would NEVER go back. It totally screwed up my day and I got next to nothing out of it. There was far better less expensive things I could have done to relax and pamper myself. MELT did NOT pamper me at all. An oasis in Boston and great haircuts from Leon. This is a very, very nice salon and spa. From the relaxing decor, tranquil environment, to the friendly staff and excellent haircuts - everything about this place says "quality". I'd been searching for a perfect salon in Boston for a while and now I think I've found it! I get my hair cut here by Leon and he always does an excellent job, we have a blast while he works his hair magic, and I come out of the salon feeling like I'm worth a million bucks - which is great because their rates are very reasonable too!
