The Best and Friendliest Salon!. I've been going to Spa Christene for over 2 years now. I have to admit, before Spa Christine I had been going to Super Cuts, Cost Cutters, Master Cuts etc since graduating from college. I have super easy and manageable hair and since i Was just keeping it long i didnt feel the need to spend money on a high end Boston Salon. Well, in my late 20's I decided it was time to spruce things up. I had recently purchased a condo in Southie so i did some investigative work and decided to try Spa Christine. My first appointment was with Larry one of the owners. He kept me entertained and laughing the entire time. I had no clue what I wanted but I gave him some basic requirements: nothing drastic and I need to be able to pull it back to work out. Larry gave me a fabulous cut shaped around my face. The cut concluded with his signature mark: a quick shoulder massage! what could be better! I got rave reviews, everyone LOVED my hair. My next appointment I called but Larry was completely booked. Not to fret, Ariel cut my hair and again it was awesome. I've been going to Ariel ever since. I have recommended several people to Ariel and everyone loves what she is able to do with their hair.

The spa upstairs is also incredible. I tend to get the 1 hour massage every time I schedule a hair cut. The staff is extremely talented and professional and the massage is very modestly priced for Boston. This past summer I treated myself to a facial and it was sensational and so relaxing!

I have purchased gift certificates to the salon for several friends and everyone is so appreciateive. and speaking of gifts, the front end of the salon is a wonderful boutique with everything from creative and unique baby gifts to humerous and witty cocktail napkins. They have something for everyone on your list.

Great cut, of course -- but a really nice place, too!. I found Spa Christine because I needed to follow Ariel Brekka from her old workplace on Newbury Street. Ariel's been my hairstylist for a little over 4 years now, and I have to say, her cuts have gotten even better over time! It's probably because of all the experience, but it could also be because the environment at Spa Christine just feels much more relaxing and much less anxiety-making than the hectic scene in Newbury salons. Spa Christine has all the high-end trappings of the Salon Row spas -- it's impeccably clean, carries the best product lines and a big selection of fun, unique gifts, has a nice soundtrack running and professional staff/owner/stylists -- and all without the crowd & hustle.

On the subject of the kind of excellent cut Ariel gives me -- she manages to make my otherwise unruly mess of not-kinky, not-quite-wavy curly hair into a flattering, easy-to-maintain, toss-able mane, and she's seen me through a number of different hair lengths over the years. I haven't needed her to color me yet, but that's coming very soon, and there's no one I trust more (she usually sports some awesome color herself). We always have a good chat while she works, too. So she's a really sweet gal who really knows her stuff.

Admittedly, I haven't taken advantage of the other services that Spa Christine offers, but from the general environment & professionalism of the place, I'd say the chances are pretty good for a good experience.

Great customer service. I recently relocated to South Boston from Florida and decided on Spa Christine for my color and haircut. I was introduced to Ariel Brekka in November and cannot imagine going to anyone else. She is not only a professional hairstylist but very personable and friendly. I would recommend her to anyone. I have continued to go to her for the last few months and have gotten so many compliments on my hair."

Please contact Ariel Brekka for any hairstyling needs you may have. She truly is a professional.

Cherrisse & Nisa- the go-to tag team for long hair. I have extremely long, thick, blonde hair so working on me isn't a short process, but I have NEVER felt rushed at Spa Christine. Nisa is absolutely a jem, between her scalp massage and soothing voice, she definitly helps to remove any stress from the day. Once in the chair Cherrisse comes alive with ideas that are always spot on. (my most recent idea was brown, but she reminded me blonde I am and blonde I should stay). I have had random people ask me at bars who does my color and have sent many a people to Cherrisse. With fantastic color and a flawless cut, topped off by warm tea, hillarious conversastion, super flexible hours and a cute boutiqe with great gift ideas, it doesn't get better then Spa Christine. I encourage you to try it, but hope not everyone does, cause then I'll never be able to get in again!!!

Cherrisse Houston Best Stylist in Boston. Cherrisse has been working with me for about a year and half. I always leave the salon loving my hair and loving my look. She makes me feel welcomed and does a great job. If you are looking for a new hair stylist I highly recommend Cherrisse. You will love what she can do for you.

Cherrisse is my #1. Not only is Spa Christine an overall beautiful salon, but Cherrisse Houston is definately one of there best assets. She is beautiful, stylish, welcoming to new clientele, and unbelievably talented. I just moved to this area and chose the salon based on some reviews on other sites. I have now gotten 3 haircuts by her, all different styles, and all have been PERFECT. I can't ever remember a time where I have left a salon 100% happy with the cut....there is not even 1 hair out of place. She is honest with what will work or not, she has great suggestions, and really performs each cut to her best ability. For $55 you get a sweet head massage in addition to your shampoo, a fabulous haircut, and a back massage before you head out the door....Get her now because I want to warn you that someday when I make it big in life, I am stealing her away to do my hair everyday- just FYI! Go to her now!

Cherrisse is my favorite stylist. I've been going to Cherrise now for over a year and each time I walk out of the salon I feel like a star. Cherrisse does things to my hair that I didn't even know could be done! The prices at Spa Christine are reasonable - for a partial color, cut, straightening it cost $110. Not bad when you think how expensive it is to go one mile down the road to Newbury Street. If you are looking for a talented stylist - Cherrisse is exactly what you need.
