Fabulous!.
Since deciding to celebrate my birthday extravaganza at Rumba at the InterContential hotel, the hotel staff could not have been more accomodating. With such a big group (25), management made sure that we had plenty of room and everything was to my standard. Drinks, our own server and a specific place for our friends to stand around, chat and have fun. The drinks were fabulous, and one friend who happened to be from Guatemala said that she was drinking one of the best mojito's in Boston. The couches, over-stuffed leather chairs and the stone masonry, made it seem as though you were transported to a Caribbean island. I would highly recommend this bar, and can't wait to have another party there.

great drinks, great service and good looking people.
This place rocks every night of the week! this bar has a great buzz. Good quality of the drinks explains why it is a bit pricy. cocktail servers are very friendly and always remember the same drink I order. All, make sure you ask the manager about the champagne lounge you can rent for private parties. It is the sexiest room ever!

Great Bar but the bartenders are the worst!.
Great Bar but they have a big issue with their bartenders. Not friendly, always have their head down. They spent big dollars on a great Bar and Hotel but it looks like they went to some South Boston Bar to hire their bartenders. I've heard this from many people and witnessed it for myself. Management needs to clean house.

swank hotel bar, hard to get to.
"The best rum list I've ever seen. A bit pricey, though. I met friends here after work and we had a good time."

Drinks at RumBa's champagne bar are highly recommended. What a great experience. My husband and I sat at the bar, ordered a few appetizers and had some of the finest dacquiris. The bartender is very experienced and professional. His concoctions were well above par. The location is excellent. The service was top tier with friendly smiles and valet parking. The dress code is casual to dressy but I'd side more on the caution of dressy. A great romantic setting. Recommended.

The InterContinental's in-house bar serves wicked concoctions made from rare, expensive rums..
In Short
RumBa's pewter bar provides the city's premier vantage point for tasting some of the world's finest rums (more than 70 are offered). Specialty cocktails (tangerine mojitos, Hemingway daquiris) pack quite a punch and run well upwards of $10 each. Peckish types rest their items from the raw bar (king crab legs, lobster brochettes) on second-hand Louis Vuitton trunks.
