“The prices for the quality were just way too much and the atmosphere is not great at this bar either.”
“The atmosphere is hot, and the drinks are expensive.”
“It's a nice space, but needs better/cheaper food and a much better crowd.”
“Even if you are looking for a good place to eat Revolution has a great menu.”
“Even if they weren't going to have live rock bands it would be cool if at least the upstairs played actual rock music and maybe they could even highlight a lot of lesser known bands and local stuff - there really isn't a good place that does that in the a”
“Will NEVER come here again because to top it off the inside of the club did not make it worthwhile with the lousy drinks and bad music.”
“The bartenders were quick and knew how to make a drink which was nice to see and the waitstaff was super nice and friendly.”
“It looks like it would be cool with the cow-print seats and whatnot, but the drinks are expensive and the crowd is overd.”
“We got there early so we did not have trouble with the line but about 10 minutes after we arrived there was a big line outside - which was ridiculous since inside was EMPTY.”
the best in boston.
the food to die for the place unreal wonderful staff
the price unexpected wanted to pay more.. no joke its a must do
Absolutely HORRIBLE. APALLED at how I was treated.. Came here with some girlfriends and had a VIP table reserved. I opened up my own tab with the waitress b/c I wasn't going to be drinking hard alcohol. Towards the end of the night I went to the bar to order a drink on my tab instead of going through the VIP waitress. I had no idea that it mattered who I ordered my drink from, the process should be seamless to the customer. The bartender couldn't find my tab and accused me of not having one. I got upset, left the bar and returned to the VIP section. Before I know it, this bouncer runs up, about to destroy me for no good reason, yanks my arm and starts yelling "You're outta here!!!". He wouldn't even explain what happened, just dragged me out of the bar without my coat, on a frigid February night. Once outside the bar, he wouldn't let me go, gripped my arms so hard that I have his hand prints bruised onto them. Mind you, I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs. There was no need to grab me with the force that he did when I didn't even do anything wrong. While my friend went inside to get my coat, I was thrown up against the wall outside, still not let go. I am apalled at the disrespect this place shows their guests. Best advice I can give: never enter this hell hole of a bar.
Fun Different Place. Came here for a friends birthday a couple weekends ago and I had so much fun! This place was so different from all the other bars around boston, I LOVED the whole rock n roll themed place. The bartenders were quick and knew how to make a drink which was nice to see and the waitstaff was super nice and friendly. This was the first time I was here but I def can't wait to come back next weekend!!!!!!
Great Food!.
Came here after work with some co-workers and this place had great 1/2 price apps! Me and my friends had the chicken quesadilla which was delishhh and the triple play. The food was great and I love the rock n roll theme. Its a nice change from all the Irish pubs that surround this area.
Def will be coming back again!
Great Place. I came here during my lunch break yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I work around the corner and walked by this place many times. A friend asked me to meet him there for a meeting and I was immediately greeted by an upbeat waitress. We each had a drink, I had the Purple Haze and he had a beer. My drink was delicious! I had the chop steakhouse salad and my steak was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Great Bar!. you can't go wrong at this place...the food is delicious and the dance floor doesn't stop moving. It's in a great location, and you can't be the cover charge!
Good Place for After Work. I work in the financial district and go in to Revolution pretty often for a drink after work. I've yet to have a bad experience. Good music, good service, fun bar!
Every time I come here I have a really good time.. So I work in the financial district, and on Friday night me and my girlfriend didn't want to head home right away so we decided to pop into Rev for a couple hours have some apps. and get a couple cocktails. I had a really nice time, but i really always do at Rev. I here that the club scene is a lot different but I have gone to Rev on a Saturday night and had a decent time. But as I was saying when in there for the "after work crowd" and had a lot of fun. Try the spicy calamari, and the back in black cocktail, they accent each other so well =)
Do NOT waste your time.....
I've given this bar a few shots and it has never failed to disappoint, lending to a quick exit after one or two drinks. The atmosphere is more or less boring and uncomfortable, the management is atrocious, and it seems to attract some of boston's finest spikey haired, overly plucked eyebrowed "playas" on a weekend night.
Went for the LAST time this past saturday (at the request of some friends). Girlfriend and I arrived at 9:30pm to be greeted by a line extending to the end of the building. The line moved fast, but aburtly was brought to a halt by the bouncers. We proceeded to be stuck at the front of a line that would soon extend to the end of the block for the next 50 MINUTES! ...In front of a pretty much EMPTY bar. With the temperature well below freezing and our friends inside confused at why they felt the need to hold up the line to an empty club, it was infuriating. The 1st floor at the time was at 1/4 capacity, while the downstairs dance floor had a grand total count of 10 patrons.
Numerous people asked an estimation for how long the wait to get into an empty club would be, with the bouncers replying "...dunno- could be 10 min, could be an hour."
The managements desire to mistreat paying customers with such disregard will have me NEVER coming back, and keeping anyone I know from frequenting the establishment.
I can have a better time in a place with a MUCH more fun atmosphere, that doesn't insult my time, intelligence and convenience, and values the $$$ that I spend when out.
Do yourself a favor... Go somewhere else.
awesome bar!!. I love Revolution. I suggest it to anyone who just wants to go out and have a good time. The music is awesome the staff is great .. the whole atmosphere of Revolution is awesome.. Its i great time in general
