I am a doctoral student at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH). I was totally panicked when my hard drive crashed. On it was my doctoral thesis, with 4 years of medical research data from Panama. When I called and spoke with the people at Data Recovery, they were very calming and reassuring. They asked me a bunch of questions about what had happened and I told them that it had worked fine the night before but that when I turned it on in the morning it would not start. They said that they have a medical background so they were trying to triage with me over the phone. I arranged for them to come and pick it up and they came that afternoon. The guy that met me was very nice and calmly explained to me some more details about what would happen to my computer. It sounded like they needed to do a lot of detailed work. The next day they called me and told me that they would be able to recover the data, and I could have it back the next day. I had a choice between a hard drive or a DVD. But they said that all of the information that I needed would be able to fit onto the DVD. The final result, I got all of my research data back, and I was able to complete my thesis. I am now a proud PhD thanks to Data Recovery, Inc. Thanks guys for saving my life! And you did it for a relatively inexpensive price. They were about HALF what some of the other places quoted when I first made my calls! I would unequivocally recommend them, and I have heard other people at HSPH tell me that Data Recovery Inc, had done a great and fast job for them.
Pros: Got all of my data back fast and inexpensively. Good telephone skills and customer service. Free pickup and delivery, saved me alot of time and hassle.
