If you think this description sounds too good to be true, then you haven't dined at Bravo, in the Museum of Fine Arts. Bravo is the perfect place for both a romantic dinner or for a gathering of friends. or colleagues. The entire staff, from the waiters to the Director of Restaurants, find the perfect balance between answering your needs in a timely manner and giving you the privacy to enjoy the food and the decor. The menu, while relatively small, manages to always have a variety of options, that seem to reflect seasonal ingredients as well as major art exhibit themes. Each entree, whether chicken, fish, meat or vegetarian, is always simply prepared but with just the right spices or sauces and accompaniments. in the menu and extensive wine list. The piano player plays a tasty selection of songs but it does not intrude on your conversation. This is one of those rare restaurants where you can have a conversation. It is an ideal place for a romantic evening or a birthday celebration or just a nite out. The food is excellent and the menu is always varied. The decor is attractive and impressive. Good place to bring out of town guests or business colleagues.
Do make a reservation as this is also a popular restaurant especially if there is a major exhibition going on in the museum. signed Scotches…
Great atmosphere, better food.
I was visiting the MFA recently and came accross the Bravo Restaurant. I didn't even know that they had a restaurant in the MFA. I must say I found the dinner fabulous and the service to be among the
best in Boston. The atmosphere was very cozy and my partner and I just sat back and enjoyed a wonderful evening.
It seems strange to find out after all of these years that there was a hidden gem among all the works of art....an it turned out to be the restaurant.…

First of all it is located inside the MFA so that makes it the perfect date place. Also the view of the courtyard from the tables is really romantic during dinner or week-end brunch. Bring your
squeeze there and you are sure to get lucky - I always have!
The food is really, really good - especially for a musuem and the drinks are sensational. The service is outstanding and it feels really cool to be eating in a museum.
Sure it would be nice if parking was easier but if you search you find a space and they do have a lot and the T drops you off at the doorstep.
One a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this place a 9.5. Enjoy!…
A Real Find!. This gem is located INSIDE the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I didn't even know that it was there until my girlfirend and I walked in. They've got a full bar, terrace dining, a GREAT wine list and live jazz every night that they're open. It's a sophisticated, condensed New American Menu with beautiful plates (not surprising in the museum, eh?). They've got cocktails themed to the exhibits currently in the museum and I found out that they serve a jazz brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. What we thought was the very tall and very friendly manager (he turned out to be the Director of Restaurants for the museum - he said that "working the floor" in the dining room is his favorite part of the job - WOW!) confided that Saturday is the brunch to go to since it is exactly the same as Sunday's but the crowds are not nearly as bad. It's only open for dinner on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays so it fills up fast - we were lucky because there wasn't a big exhibit but the Director told us that even that is no guarantee of seating without a reservation. This place is gonna catch on fast. I'm glad that I discovered it before the masses.…
