The Maids charge too much. The maids were thorough, quick, and pleasant to work with. If my review was based solely on that, I would rate The Maids five stars. Unfortunately, it seemed from my interaction with their home office that they do not always communicate very effectively with their Team Leaders. While on the phone with their office, I was told that the maids would be at my house between 4 and 6 p.m. The maids arrived an hour and a half early (lucky I was home!), but I was still in the process of getting the apartment ready because I thought they were coming at 4. I asked the maids to wait for about 10 minutes, and then I invited them in. Apparently, even though I hadn't agreed to this earlier time, they were already on the clock and charged me for this time plus an additional 10 minutes. The estimate had been $164 for 1.5 hours work in my 750 sq. ft. apartment. They ended up needing only 1 hour to clean the apartment, but they charged me $218. They penalized me for not being ready for them to clean, even though our appointment wasn't for another 2 hours.
