I recently moved to the Boston area from the San Francisco Bay area. I actually heard about ATA through my bicycle-enthusiast real estate broker. When I first walked into the Concord shop I had one one of those kid-in-a-candy-store moments. Never before have I seen so much beautifully crafted carbon fiber in one place! The owner, Husam, greated me warmly minutes after I walked in (perhaps he noticed the drool coming from my lower lip), showed off some the product and demonstrated the very high-tech fitting equipment they use to ensure the right match between rider and machine. All the while, and with great aplomb, I was being sold. While I hadn't gone into the shop to buy a new bike, resistance was futile. Husam eventually matched me with a stunning Fondreist which has in fact turned out to be the ride of my life. The fitting process is not only comprehensive, it really works. My power output improved by nearly 20% as a result of dialing in a more efficient position on the bike. Also importantly, Husam made my budget go as far as he could. Don't go in to ATA if you're looking for a bargain ride. But if you're shopping on the high end, he will get you a much better ride for your money than the shops pushing top-of-the-line Trek, Specialized, etc. Then again, if you really are "just looking", my advice is to admire what ATA has in the window. If you go in, you will spend!

Pros: Incredible selection of high-end bikes, unsurpassed fitting services, good value

Cons: Potential impact on your Visa bill

ATA Cycle can be intimidating if you know bikes and been in and out of other bike shops, they carry some very cool bikes..... but my experince underscores that these guys know wnat they are doing and I'm convinced I could not get the service they provide anywhere else. I have a Tri bike that needed some tweeking. These guys helped me realize that I could achive a position that was more comfortable and faster. Yeah, it cost me some money but it was money that was worth every penny. I was imeadiately riding raster with more comfort. The Fit Kit they use was custom built and accuracte, using watts to measure the optimal power position vs other shops that use measurements. If you want a new bike that fits or have a current bike that need adjustments to make you more effiecient, ATA is the place to go.
