customer service is very helpful – I could not figure out how to match what blades would work on my fan, they were very nice and helpful when i called and were able to show me how to access all the different blade options on the website. i was reading it wrong way, very easy once you know how. maybe im not so good on the computer but they take extra time to show me how. also they gave me clear instruction on installing the fan on a sloped ceiling. i say I like the service which you don't much in these day and I will do business with them again.
Avoid This Place!!! – One of the most important things about a store, any store, is that they are open when their stated hours tell you they will be open. This is NOT the case with Savio! I showed up at their Needham store this morning at 9am and the store was not open yet, even though their posted hours on their Web site and on the store front are 9-5 today (Friday). At 9:05am an employee shows up to tell me that "the boss is running late and I can not open the store". When asked when the boss would be arriving, I was told "maybe in about 30 minutes. He's been running late all week". What?!? I rearranged my entire work schedule today so that I could do my business at Savio promptly when they opened at 9am. Of course I did not wait and would never go back. Regardless of the reason, at the VERY least a note should have been posted on the door the night before warning customers that the store would be open late the next morning. This is no way to run a business. Clearly they owner of Savio does not care about the customer and if you can not rely on them to open their store on time, would you trust them to deliver your purchases on time and as ordered? No way!!
First, thank you for providing your feedback. I totally understand how valuable your time is. However, emergencies are out of our control and not expected. Your time is valuable to us but just like a professional athlete, please try not to judge our performance when we are disabled. Since we surely can't give you back your valuable time, allow us to try and save you some time in the future. Please contact us at the store so we can properly apologize with a round of coffee and breakfast on us.
Great service, fast delivery – Ordered a Holtkotter table lamp over-the-phone. Got a e-mail confirmation right away and received it in good condition after 3 days. Great Light. Found a newer coupon and called back for adjustment, they were nice enough to give me a partial credit.
Definately worth my visit – I purchased 3 WAC Lighting Pendants from another online store in CA. When my electrician tried to install them and he noticed a connector was missing. I called store that I originally purchased these pendants and was told it will take about 7 days for them to ship it to me. Well...I was on a mission to them installed today.
I called Savio Lighting - friendly voice told me that they have the part in-stock and will be able to help me to complete the assembly. I was thrilled. It tooked about 15 minutes drive from Boston. A young man in the store fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes.
I browsed through their showroom collections. Well... I am impressed with their selections and it definately has the best contemporary lights in the Boston area. Will shop again and recommend to my friends.
Customer comments look fake.. – The customer comments from their web site looks fake to me... Are they all made up? If they are genuine comments then they must be published somewhere on the web for the general public. right? or is it just a marketing trick. Hmmmm....
Internet experience wasn't great, but it was the distributor – We ordered from Savio lighting because of their great selection and there shipping guarantee (most items ship within 72 hours as stated on their site).
Well, not only did it take 2.5-3 weeks for our items to arrive. But when the 2nd light arrived it was the wrong item. Savio light is local, so I called to see if they had the correct item in stock. They took all my info down and said they would call me back that day. I never heard back from them. I called back the next day and told them what happened, and they said they'd look into it and call me back. I thought they were joking for a second but they were serious. Now, if one of the above issues happened then fine -- no business is perfect. But we weren't feeling the love at this point.
In the end, they contacted the manufacturer who pulled the incorrect item and drop shipped to us. They said, that the company would be sending us the correct item out that day, and would send us a slip for return of the wrong item. So, Savio ended up stepping up to the plate and making things right for us.
Cheap merchandize – Bought "Tiffany" ceiling fixtures for over $200 but shade turned out to be cheap plastic, not glass, a fact that went conveniently unmentioned in product description on website. Disappointed.
Nicest Lighting Showroom in the Greater Boston Area! – My wife and I visited Savio Lighting last week...They have so many choices. We spent more than an hours there. With the help of its lighting consultants, we made our decisions: We purchased 5 low-voltage pendants for our kitchen island and 3 wall sconces for our living room. These lights look WONDERFUL... Thank you so much Savio Lighting for the GREAT services!
