In Short – Downstairs from Remington's, students and young professionals laugh the night away while consuming cheap drinks. Located around the corner from The Alley's many nightlife destinations, the Vault provides an affordable spot to grab some laughs. Fridays and Saturdays see local comedians hit the stage, while Sundays are reserved for an open mic night.

Best comedy club in Boston.

by DenC301 at Citysearch

What a great place to go for stand up comedy. I have been to others in Boston and none of them are like this! I have gone many times and many different days of the week, and not matter how large the crowd it was always a fun time. With friends or on a date I have always left happy.

They also serve a light finger food menu and have drinks available, for the Backbay area the food is great and the drinks are priced well!

Highly recommended!!!

Fun and Inexpensive

by Jenny081990 at Citysearch

I recently went to Dick's Beantown Comedy Vault in Boston with a group of friends and we all had a blast! We didn't expect to have such a great time because we went on a weekday night but it was fantastic. The show was hilarious and only cost us $15 each! The food at Remington's was very good and inexpensive and the drinks were reasonable. And to top it off, the wait staff was very friendly.

  • Pros: Good food, Inexpensive, Full bar, Funny comedians
  • Cons: Have to park in a garage

A special surprise in Boston

by Lisa5050 at Citysearch

I've been to Dick's Beantown Comedy Vault for a few shows on a few different weekends. The shows were always packed and very fun.

I was pleasantly surprised when I went to a show on a Monday night and although I was expecting it to be a slow night, it was still packed and a terrific show.

This place is something special.

  • Pros: Great comedians, good prices
  • Cons: Parking

Group Nite Out

by smorris3 at Citysearch

My husband and I recently went out with 3 other couples for dinner and a show at the Comedy Vault and we had a blast. We saw a show headlined by Doherty himself with a few other comedians. Everyone in our group was roaring, and fortunately he even picked on my husband (haha). A little fancier of a dinner before the show would have been nicer, but i would def do this again.

  • Pros: Fit large group in small place
  • Cons: only pub food, tight fit for people walking by tables

Good Time

by jagrande at Citysearch

I recently attended Beantown Comedy for the second time in my life and I had a great time. I went on a wednesday night when Paul Nardizzi was performing. I couldn't believe how packed the place was for a weekday night. He was extremely funny and the smaller acts before him still had me laughing. At $12 to get in, it was worth every dollar. Its great to know there is a place offering quality shows 7 nights a week. I was even impressed with the food, though I wish there was more than just appetizers available during the show, as dinner must be eaten upstairs before the show.

  • Pros: Good Location, Good Acts, Restaurant Upstairs
  • Cons: Couldn't eat full meal in club, had to eat upstairs
