Request to be seated at Phil Hunter's table!. Tresca is must when dining in the North End! The last time I was there we truly had the best and most knowledgeable Server named Phil Hunter (he is there Friday nights!) Phil knows everything Italian...so without hesitation we left it up to him as to what we would be eating that night. He picked our courses and introduced us to some fantastic wines (which I have since found and purchased), each a wonderful surprise! This was truly the most romantic dinner a girl could ask for and Phil made it extra special!…
most romantic table. The balcony table for 2 is the most romantic table in the North End. I love eating al fresco and people watching is like no other. The service was so professional from the initial greeting from the lovely hostess, the server and the busser. We did the Tresca Tasting. 4 amazing courses from different regions in Italy. All where explained as they were brought to the table. We were at the hands of the Chef. Fun and exciting experience. Unforgettable evening.…
Great date spot, but don't forget the bar menu!.
One of the three best restaurants on Hanover Street!
Most restaurants on Hanover Street either offer you heaping helpings of mediocre red sauce or overpriced and over thought "modernized" Italian. Tresca manages to give you a delicious, modern Italian meal that would satisfy the most die-hard of foodies, but would not upset your nonni either.
The pork chop is one of the best items on the menu, hands down. Its size would make it feel at home in any downtown steakhouse and its cooked to perfection and covered in pan sauteed pancetta cubes. And the sweet and sour peppers...minkya!
On the more traditional end, the bolognese knocks it out of the park with its rich and meaty sauce (veal, pork and pancetta). The Veal Osso Bucco is another traditional favorite of mine. Its even better than my moms (she doesnt know how to use a computer, I can say that).
What I found on my most recent trip was the Bar Menu is every bit as good as the dinner menu. Smaller plates lets you try a variety of items. I'd recommend the scallops and the steak, both outrageously good!
If you want to graduate from the chicken parm factories of Hanover Street and try some cuisine that would be served in one of the better restaurants of Italy, then take a chance on Tresca.…
North End resto def worth checking out. I work in the area and have been to alot of North End restaurants for dinner or just a few after work drinks. Tresca is definitely my favorite because it's a great place to do either. The food is among the best in the neighborhood, the atmosphere is relaxed yet classy, and the staff is young and fun. If you are thinking about heading to the North End for dinner or a drink or both, check out Tresca, you'll be back.…
Great Italian food!. This place is awesome! I went with my girl the other night. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. Pasta was great and the veal was fantastic! Great atmosphere also. I highly recommend Tresca!…
