fantastic salon. I was searching for a new salon, and had seen the salon in the best of boston magazine. I also checked here on city search. One of the stylists matt was written up several times. I was definitely impressed. My haircut made me feel hip, and with it. well done, thank you id salon!

great short haircut. I've never written a review but have had such a positive experience at ID Salon I just had to write! I drive 25 miles to get a haircut by Marcia because she gives the best haircut I have ever gotten for my short fine hair........and I've tried a LOT of hairdressers over the years! Thank you, Marcia!

I love Helen!. Helen is the best colorist in Boston. I am sorry that "mom in Wellesley" had a bad experience, but have to believe that her bad experience was because of her not Helen. Helen is always professional, and wildly talented. She listens to you and she totally knows hair. I am always blown away by her ability to make my not so great hair fabulous.

Helen is the best. I have been going to Helen for color for 15 plus years. Everyone in Boston knows she is the best colorist. she is professional, smart, funny, and HARDWORKING and that's just a few examples of why her business is so successful. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience Mom in Wellesley but I can't believe thats true!

don"t believe what you read!!! Be warned. beware of reviews that have been written unfairly go and see for yourself Helen is an ultimate professional and would never behave that way...This was written to hurt her professionally...and personally, utter nonsense, people like this should be stopped, Helen has stood up for shirley many times and this is what she gets! what comes around will go around. Helen is the best..!!! Believe me...

mixed review. I got a color done by Helen once and was not thrilled or happy. It felt burned and was very frizzy afterwards for a good while. I had told her I felt the color was on for to long but I was ignored.It turned out pretty bad. I went to a different colorist there next time and was much happier with the results.

Shirley is an amazing stylist who knows how to communicate with you to find your right cut.

One thing I did not care for was over hearing some of the stylists/colorists backstabbing eachother to other clients. This is not at all professional. I am sure there are some clints who enjoy seeing this, but I take no pleasure in this immature catty behavior. I only heard positive comments about other stylists from ONE of the owners. This is enough to make me hesitate about returning there.

Galina gives the best mani's and pedi's! The asistants are super sweet and give first class service!

All in all my only wish it that some of the stylists and colorist acted more proffesional and less catty and they took the time to communicate properly.

helen the genius of hair color!. Helen is a legend... i have been her client for years and just wanted to let people know that she is trustworthy and talented.. her salon deserves everything acclaim they get.. you cannot go wrong there! The best colorist who knows her stuff... people seek her out, and hairdressers send their clients to her when they need help! i will follow her anywhere...

Matt Carlson is a true artist.. I drive 1 and 1/2 hours every 5 weeks, down the Mass Pike, to get my hair done at ID Salon in Wellesley MA. Matt Carlson has taken years off my look with his skillful color and stylish cuts. It is great to be over 60 and have everyone think you are 40. Only my hairdresser knows!

If you are looking for a real professional, with an artistic eye, try Matt Carlson for your next cut and color. I am glad that I did.

This is the place! great service, friendly atmosphere, Penny, at the front desk is warm and wonderful, went for Helen ,the master of haircolor, she was recommended by most everyone i've talked to in my search and deserves her accolades,I will travel from boston from now on ...it is so worth it, a true pro, ...

flawless cut. just moved to the area and went on citisearch to find a salon. After reading a few reviews about matt called and booked an appointment. I went to my appointment with some pictures of hair that I liked. Matt was great, he helped me narrow down which cuts would look great with my face shape. could'nt be more pleased he dilivered a flawless cut. had a great expierience. I will be back.
