UNHAPPY
We have been to the Fox and Hound Restaurant many times, good food, nice ambiance, beautiful fire roaring in the Tavern fireplace. Thought it would be a great place to hold a special event. Not so much!! The Event coordinator that I dealt with was uncompromising, and extremely rude. Yelling at me, telling me he had worked 16 hour days for the past 3 days and that he was tired! This is my problem, how? I am the customer. The food was mediocre at my event and when the realization was that the room that I was using included the bar area and this area was open to the public while my event was going on, it left a lot to be desired. Then to top it off six [6] of my guests were sitting on the opposite side of a half wall and were almost excluded from the festivities, this is after being told the room seats 40 and our party was 38. The contract assures you that you have reserved a “space” in the restaurant and I signed it in May of 2012 for a $12.00 a head luncheon buffet, October came and five days to my event the cost was now $14.00 a head plus there was no compromising on table seating or arrangement. Apparently signing a contract was pointless. Dining for an evening out is doable but planning an event was a horrible experience, and both “event planners” need classes in customer service and manners.

A little bit of Newbury Street in Quincy!.
What a discovery! Our first trip and certainly won't be our last! We have been looking for a non ethnic, non-chain restaurant where we can get great home cooking and we found it. Our entrees were outstanding, the portions were huge, the ambiance superb, and the service was attentive and friendly. We hope you give it a try!

Had dinner on 9/17/05 and the food, ambience and value were above and beyond expectations. I love the decor and the staff is very friendly.
