Not impressed with guacamole or dessert.
I decided to try this restaurant by ordering the guacamole and fried ice cream, as I'm currently budget challenged. I'm sorry to say that the guacamole was not tasty at all (as opposed to the wonderful, creamy, delicious guacamole served at the Chipoltes chain.) The order I received was not nearly enough to go with the chips I'd ordered. The fried ice cream had no whipped cream on it, and the coating was stale. Even the ice cream itself was cheap tasting. I was surprisingly disappointed with the quality of these items. I won't return for the main meal.

Local chain satisfies suburban families with its heaping portions of affordable Mexican comfort fare..
In Short
By billing itself as a "Mexican Family Restaurant," Acapulcos aims to provide its patrons with congenial service, a nondescript yet welcoming environment and inexpensive dishes of familiar favorites. Most everything on the menu--from fajita salads and crisp chimichangas to savory carnitas and fish tacos--is large enough to share. Entrees like carne asada and chicken flautas are served with rice, beans and tortillas. Vegetarians and kids have their own menu sections.
