Store Manager was very helpful. Although Urban Renewal's owners, Tom Ulrich and Meredith Dryer-Ulrich, closed both stores, Karole Moe, the store manager @ Congress St. was incredibly helpful in refunding our money and extremely apologetic as well. Certainly , she put many hours in helping us choose our pieces & I know the closing of the store came quite suddenly to her. She did everything in her power to make us happy before her last day. We wish her the very best.

Urban Renewal has closed.. Both stores in Natick and in Boston have closed. Please remove Urban Renewal from Boston City Search.

Stores have closed. Urban Renewal is no longer in business. I think both locations, Boston and Natick, should be removed from City Search so that people do not make a wasted trip!

Urban Renewal Home Furnishings. The only positive reviews of this company must come from the owner. I bought a chair and 3 piece sectional a year ago. I purchased the updgrade "cloud 9" cushions, which were to come with a 5 year warranty. The cushions have gone flat and now hang about 6" over the frames of all 4 pieces, the sectional doesn't even fit together any more. I called the company in November to get replacement cushions, left messages for 2 weeks, never received a return phone call. Called the store in Mid November expecting to leave another message, only to receive a greeting from the store that they had closed the California locations, and a phone number to the corporate office. Spoke with someone finally in December who requested pictures, which we emailed on December 4th. We were told the replacements were ordered and the manufacturor would ship them with the last of the California orders. On January 4th we called the corporate office and were told they would be shipped any time, it is now February and we have left a dozen messages in the last week, tried calling again today only to receive a message saying the number has been disconnected.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DELIVER GARBAGE!!

I will gladly e mail pictures of my garbage to any one who wants to see for themselves what they can expect.

Horrible experience. I have had and am continuing to have a horrible experience with this company. I ordered a sofa on Oct 28th. I was given a delivery date of Dec 25Th (funny). Obviously it was not delivered by this date. We gave it a couple of weeks and then inquired in person. The man said he would check and get back to us the next day. We received no response. I left a Voicemail two day later. Nothing.

I stopped in again a week later, the same man had no info on our order. He said he would check again. No response yet. My wife left a message. No response.

I have never seen a business run this poorly. We were just asking for an update and they won't return phone calls. It's unbelievable.

I would never do business with them again.

Great value for furniture. I was reading an ugly review on "Urban Renewal" and I just had to write in rebuttal. I got my furniture there several years ago and I am still so happy with my choice to shop there! I had shopped everywhere from Ethan Allen to Pottery Barn- could not find a couch and loveseat that would work with my low windows. Urban Renewal folks worked with me to find a "design" for a couch and loveseat that would work and they are custom perfection! The delivery was months ahead of schedule and they look fabulous still after several years. I also purchased a leather chair at the same time that came up way different than the sample (leather is tricky) and they took it back and credited my card no questions asked. I would recommend them to anyone!

The Worst Furniture Store in Boston. I wish I had read other reviews of this store before I bought furniture there. There is no customer service. The 2 small ottomans I ordered are over a month late with no ETA. The store staff are completely unhelpful. There are many other places to shop with good design and prices that actually can deliver what you ordered. DO NOT GO HERE!

Good experience. I ordered 3 pieces of wooden furniture. They told me becuase it's made by order it would take 16 weeks to arrive. I ordered mid-August and got the furniture early November. The three pieces cost me $1500- one was a bookshelf that they made into an armoire for me. An armoire of the same size would have cost me $1500 itself most places (I researched). One piece was a large bookshelf- I wanted additional shelves so I called and they ordered those for me too. Those took a few months to arrive as well.

Don't be fooled by the ads. First of all, this place is not that inexpensive. Expect to pay more than you thought going in. Second, the "discounted" prices are made up for through horrible service. We ordered a product four months ago that STILL has not arrived. This was a simple order - a coffee table and two end tablels. We receive an update every month or so, telling us the order is about to arrive. The first such update occurred three months ago. Buyer beware.
