My 1st experience at 28 Degrees will be my last.. Last weekend I had dinner with a couple of friends @ 28 Degrees, let me just start off by saying the portions are terrible and so aren't the prices and service. We finished our "so called" meals and had to order additional sides because we were still hungry!

Then we get the bill and tell the waitress to take the cash and put the remaining $68 of the bill on my credit card.

I check my bank acct. online later on in the week and they charged the entire $180 bill to my credit card AND the waitress took the cash we had given her TOO!

After numerous times of trying to call and getting the voicemail, I decided to go in and see the manager. I show him the receipts and my bank statement and he takes my number down and tells me he will call me.

He then proceeds to TEXT me (REAL PROFESSIONAL)

to tell me they will refund me in 2-3 business days.

NO SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE, NO EXPLANATION NOTHING.WHAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!?

EVEN THE CHAIN RESTAURANTS WOULD CALL AND APOLOGIZE OR OFFER YOU A GIFT CARD IF THEY HAD OVERCHARGED YOUR CREDIT CARD BY $110.

They should spent less $ on their bathroom decor and more $ training staff and supposed management.

NEVER AGAIN!. Though I really like the room and the fact that it's a real lounge, I will never go back to this place. I went there twice, and the first time I liked the special drinks and bartender but thought the host had a bit of an attitude. The second time I went there, the host, this time I think he was one of the owner, had the biggest attitude I have ever encountered. Bigger than anyplace I've been in NYC, LA, Monte Carlo or Ibiza! He's a little older and has such a sense of entitlement. Wow. What happened to customer service?

Best night after a long day!. Five friends and I went to 28 Degrees to begin to unwind after a long day of Christmas shopping. This was the first time we have come, but certainly will not be our last! From the dollar oysters to the best looking caring staff! Great Job! The amazing cocktail list had us forgetting about the long lines at Copley. Thank you so much 28!

big flavor. Dropped in last Wednesday night for some of the dollar duxbury oysters and ended up staying for an amazing dinner. Their menu offered large and small portions which allowed us to taste many different dishes, that is the best way to eat in my opinion. we had tuna tartare, which was the best I've had in this small town of Boston! The cappicola pizza had a crispy thin crust, and the lobster sliders put B&G's to shame. The stand out dish was the braised short rib....ummmm...um so good. The crowd was diverse and the drinks were all about seasonal freshness. A must visit for all!

not just for the fabulous. The menu at 28 Degrees, which changes frequently, is reason enough to come to this stylish boite. Creative, highest quality ingredients, beautifully presented. The creative cocktails are another. But the best reason is the service, which is professional, prompt and of the highest caliber - a real rarity in a town where the service ethic is often seriously lacking. 28 has managed to attract a talented staff of professional service people who make you feel like the most important person in the room, even if you're wearing jeans and flip flops. Things can get pretty busy on a Friday or Saturday night, and for locals, the best nights are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. My husband and I aren't fabulous or famous, but we always feel well cared for when we come here.

Good service, relaxed atmosphere. Took a first date here to make a good impression and it seemed to work. Service was quite enjoyable as the server (Dave I think... guy from southern CT) was happy to offer some of his own advice about some of the dishes. Wine was good, as was their gnocchi dish. it's a bit pricy, but we got there early and it was really relaxing and chill. Perfect for early night drinks with friends.

Only downside is that the manager and door staff need to take themselves a tad less serious... it's a restaurant in Boston guys, not an LA nightclub.

They reuse the Bellinis, gross!. I use to be fond of this place until a friend of mine who is a bartender there told me they reuse the Bellini's in the machine... At the end of each night they actually take the left overs and transfer them into tubs to be used the next day. I can't tell you how disgusting this is. Not to mention that they charge a fortune for a drink that cost them next to nothing to make. I also agree with the other posts about them having a superiority complex for a rather tired, cheaply done place.

Use to be the best hot spot but now has gone down hill. I use to go to this place at least 3 time a month. And it was great, the staff was great, the cocktails were amazing and the food was unbelievable and I love the Sunday night shows. But lately I have been in and the experience is horrible. Last Friday around 6 I went in with 3 friends and wanted to sit at a table there was no one at the host stand to greet us and I saw the manager (who I have seen many times) talking to another employee, he saw us and completely ignored us. So we went and sat ourselves. There were more than enough tables for us to sit, but as soon we sat the manager come over and rudely told us that we couldn?t sit there. ? That they had reservations coming in and need that table.? We asked to move to another table and he said there weren?t any available.? We end up eating at the bar. The bar staff was great. The cocktails on the other hand have been much better. We ended up staying for the course of the night and the table we sat at when walked in was never used. When I went up and asked why we couldn?t have sat at the table for dinner, the manager was again rude and said we just had a cancellation for the table. I don?t know what has happened but I remember when the management use to be a lot nicer. They defiantly need to do some changes before I would go back.

Very Obnoxious Bouncer. I tried to go to this bar with two of my friends on a Saturday night (2 girls and 1 guy, all dressed nicely). We were told by the very rude bouncer that you could only get in with a reservation. Mind you, this wasn't for dinner. This was just to get in and sit at the bar and order over-priced cocktails. We asked if we could make a reservation then or put our names in and come back, and he said now. When the door opened, I could see the bar inside and it was empty. We left, but wanted to go back because we were meeting friends who were already inside. I called to avoid what we'd just been through and spoke with a hostess who said there was now a line, but they were letting people in as people left. So we headed back, only to find no line and the same rude, unhelpful bouncer with the same story. Our friends eventually left and we all met up at Coda and had a great time. Our friends also said that the bar was totally empty, the atmosphere was pretentious and the drinks were way overpriced. I'll never try to go back.

Top Rated Saturday Night Spot.. One of the hottest word of mouth night spot in Boston. Saturday nights are amazing. The music & vibe (which varies from uplifting house music to Latin to Pop) provided by 28's resident dj Cruzz, sets a great vibe with the local young professionals. I've noticed some local celebrities frequenting this night every week.

The have great drinks, and easy going food. 28 it's just a fabulous chill spot, for the mature crowd.

Jess.
