Amazing Italian Dinner with Top Service and...GLUTEN FREE!. My wife and I spent an evening in Boston to celebrate her Birthday! We had been craving Italian in the North End, but since my wife was diagnosed with a wheat gluten intolerance/allergy (Celiac Disease) in the past year...the North End seemed like an impossibility until I read about NEBO.

We were astonished by the menu...a complete-full menu for gluten free dining in addition to the regular menu.

In order to share dishes we both ordered from the gluten free menu. We started with a to-die-for eggplant appetizer with mozzarella and tomato sauce...yum!

We then had the Pasta (yes gluten free pasta) with pancetta and onion...awesome...you would never guess you were eating gluten free!

We also split a fig and prociutto gluten free pizza...OUR FAVORITE PIZZA PERIOD! Yum! In a million years you will not believe it is gluten free.

We were so impressed with our server and Carla, one of the owner's was so caring and came over to chat with us several times about the menu and the restaurant. Her enthusiasm and the efforts of her team have truly paid off!

We couldn't reccommend a restaurant more highly...try it...you'll love it.

We will be back and bring our friends and family! Thank you again Carla!

Great food, great atmosphere and great hosts. We are visiting from Washington, DC and wanted to experience the North End. We found Nebo in one of the books and made our reservations. Carla and Christine, the owners came by our table to check on us throughout the meal. When Christine found out we were from out of town, she sent Carla over to help us plan the rest of the evening as well as our next day in Boston. And to top it off, the Sox won 3-1! We had a wonderful experience and can't wait to get back to Boston.

Great people... Great food. My wife I have been going in to Nebo regularly for about 2-and -a-half years now, and have grown to feel as at home at the bar or at a table as we do in our very own living room. The owners Carla and Christina have remembered us by name from the second time we dined at Nebo and are never too busy to talk with us about just everyday life, nor is the bartender Brian... great guy to talk to.

Oh, and the food... ha. The homemade pasta is apparently still made with a knife and broomstick, and the proof is in the taste. I recommend the Ricotta Gnocchi. The pizza's as well as most of the other delicious menu items are also made with homemade ingredients and taste just as one would expect homemade italian food to taste. Also, the draft beer at Nebo, for some reason, is excellent.

Nebo is a great place for a date or any time you want to eat great food in a laid-back but beautiful environment.

Absolutely Floored- for both Celiac's and the Rest.... Excellent atmosphere, beautiful decor, and lovely staff. Incredibly hospitable to my gluten free needs. The menu for those of us who suffer from Celiac's is incredibly extensive, not the typical "list" of four or five substandard creations a restauarnt has to offer from us. You can expect the unexpected here, not only for people without food allergies, but for the people with Celiac's as well; I had a delicious, gourmet pizza that was created upon the most genuine tasting bread I've had since diagnosed. Congenial and appreciative, the head chef extends her welcome to all and is open to all the comments and suggestions you could offer - although we had very few! We were happily surprised by the treat she had prepared for us - a gluten free sicilian slice, which tasted as though it had been cooked on french bread.... delish! I give it a 5 out of 5, and my son who dined with me [and does not have Celiac's] reccomends the homemade pasta with scallops as well. A definite must if you have gluten allergies when in Boston!!!!

Delicious food, great Gluten Free Menu. My family and I just had a wonderful evening at Nebo's. Food was excellent and we could not believe they had a scruptious gluten free menu. Is it a "must" for any celiac. You won't be disappointed and neither will anyone dining with you. Carla (the owner) and her sister are delightful hosts as well.

Gluen free. I was diagnosed with celiac disease 2 years ago and have since dreaded going out to eat with friends.went to Nebo last night and had so many gluten free choices that I didn't know what to order first. All the food I ordered tasted so good I wanted to cry. Had fried calamari, shrimp scampi with polenta and a pizza. It was so hood that my friends ate off my plate. Can't wait to to back .

Food for thought..... Traveling for work can sometimes take it's toll. I ended up eating at nebo by chance, was on my to Hanover St., and wandered into this place. Sat at the bar and had an appetizer and a pizza. Antipasti, is what they call it. Caprese, tomato with mozz and oil and a Gino pizza. Hot peppers and hot sausage will definately clear your nostrils on a winter evening. I stayed with a soda but the wine list and bar looked pretty decent. Place was a little quiet for a Tuesday but it got me outta the cold. Liked the experience. The girl bartending was nice.

Valentine delight. Checked this place out on Valentine's night. Pretty good. They had a price fix menu for the night and the regular menu to choose from. All in the price for two of us was $110 with drinks and was impressed with what was delivered. We ate at a table and then had drinks in the bar area. People were nice and met another couple from the neighborhood.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!. I ate at Nebo's a couple of weeks ago, and the nasty taste of their food is still in my mouth. We asked not sit near the door so we wouldn't feel the cold breeze everytime it opened. Fortunatly for us the place was dead on a friday night, so we got to sit away from the door. The host/owner, who I later found out her name is Carla was probably one of the rudest persons I have ever met. She started off by telling us we needed to be seated near the window, after a 2 min conversation of telling her we didn't want to we finally ended up sitting near the bar and kitchen, where we got to witness everything. Once the restaurant started getting busy it soon turned into a chaotic mess. My friends and I could see perfectly into the kitchen where both the owners were. It looked like they had no idea what they were doing, and on top of that they treated all of their employees so awful. They were yelling at the kitchen staff for not preparing the food fast enough. Servers were taking food to tables that were not theirs, wrong orders being made, total and complete mess. Our food came out 45 minutes after ordering it. I really felt bad for the servers because they were getting the worst of it. At once point I witnessed Carla pulling aside a waiter while he was at a table and started yelling at him in front of everyone. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! The food sucked, it was too pricey, and I will probably never go back there. And on top of everything while we are trying to enjoy our dinners the owner decides to come and talk to us about her and her brother and how much money they have, LIKE I CARE ! By the time she was done bragging about her money our food was cold. We were also by the screen were the servers put our orders in, and on multiple occasions I saw Carla going on the computer to see how much money she was making. WHAT A JOKE! The only good thing about this place was the service.DON'T EAT HERE!
