Great place. Better without children.. This location is very unique as far as coffee houses go. The environment is very much like a being in a living room. They have a much more diverse food menu then most coffee shops. The only times I've felt rushed was with a line of other people stretching out behind me. Aside from that I've found the staff to be very pleasant and conversational. They usually bring your food and drinks out to you when things are calm enough which I always appreciate as a courtesy. I do tend to not like the kid friendliness of the environment. It doesn't make sense to me since kids don't drink coffee and I find them to be a severe distraction when trying to work on anything there but I understand that it's a neighborhood shop and catered more towards the families in the area. Over all I very much enjoy spending time there when I get the chance.
Avoid Mornings, Afternoons as well.. I thought that this should be a great place to visit, talk with friends, etc. I was meeting a business associate for a quick meetings and when he suggested this place, I thought fine. Boy, was I wrong. The man who took my order, took it and walked away! Into the kitchen. I stood there waiting until another young girl came and helped me. She has NO idea how to make the drink I wanted (Chi). So she went in search for this guy, and by this point I was already very annoyed. So the young man comes back and was very rude, AGAIN. Finally I paid for my drink, went to my table and waited. It took about five minutes, they called it out and I got it, asked where the napkins was they pointed to the corner. Overall I thought the service was horrible. I cannot believe they get repeat customers. The Chai was okay but the person I was meeting got coffee cake and it was very hard. Stale.BUt I thought, what was the point in saying anything? They really dont seem to care.
Not just coffee!.
Great place. Very comfy and homey without making it awkward that you're relaxing next to a complete stranger. Food is great and the service is very friendly. I must admit that I didn't really like the coffee all that much, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, but everything else was delicious.
It was a welcome pit stop in between shopping on a cold day.
