Fashion editors and slick-haired lovelies pop in and out for Marc Jacobs' shoes and belts, plus must-have jeans. Style-minded shoppers will probably recognize quite a few of the pieces from the pages of fashion magazines. Understated retro--inspired by "Belle de Jour" or the early days of punk--is the name of the game. Cashmere long-john tops are demure but luxurious, and the selection of handbags, many with oversize hardware and buckles, look vintage chic.

finally marc jacobs in boston. i was so excided when this store opened. i was pleasently surprised at what i found there. although the store was very crowded, the salesmen made me feel like i was the only one there. not only was he friendly, and started a dresing room for me he also brought out things from the back in different colors and styles. he was helpful, without being to pushy. theclothes are so gorgeous and fun i can not begin to describe them. i bought two skirts in funky, colorful patterns.
