Authentic Lebanese more tastes of the Mediterranean. If you want a break from your usual lunch or dinner. No more roast chicken and ribs. Put down the pizza and try something fresh, light and tasty.

Great for vegetarian dining. A perfect option for catering at a very reasonable price. The website focuses on health but the food is really all about flavor and freshness.

Special orders do upset us!. I work nearby and by default eat there about once a week. Today I ordered a beef shawarma salad which was made up by a very pleasant woman until it came time to top it off with the beef.... She told the guy who carves the beef and chicken my choice of toppers and I very nicely asked for the more well done pieces please. He replied to me that he was behind the counter and it was his decision what pieces of meat I got!!! I was shocked and so was the female worker who looked at me sheepishly !!! I am so mad that I acted so complacent and didn't say somthing back to him .. i will never go there again and have told my entire company not to go too! Beware of the mean guy carving the shawarma wheels.

Eeks... disappointment. My husband and I were visiting the Boston area for leisure and we stayed in Cambridge. It was our first day there and we were looking for somewhere for a late lunch/early dinner. We love greek and meditteranean food so I had written down Aceituna after reviewing CitySearch. It was a short walk from the hotel to the restaurant. I was surprised that it was completely empty. The decor was nice - calming. However the help there was less than desirable; not friendly or helpful at all. We both ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate. I was disappointed to know that it was the meat on the big metal turning pit. I could not put my finger on what spices they used on the chicken but it was definitely strange. The rice was good. The side type 'salad' was ok. Overall, with the price and the quality, I wish we would have went to some other Greek/Meditteranean restaurant!! Too bad.

BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD IN TOWN. THE GOURMET FAST-FOOD RESTAURANT IS THE MOST AUTHENTIC, ETHNIC, AND DELICIOUS FOOD IN BOSTON. THE BEST DISHES FOR ME ARE THE SHISH KEBOB (FILET-MIGNON) PLATE AND CHICKEN SHAWARMA, THEY ARE SO TASTY AND JUICY. THE SALADS ARE VERY FRESH AND AUTHENTIC. EXCELLENT SERVICE, WONDERFUL PEOPLE, AND VERY GOOD MUSIC. REALLY, REALLY GOOD!

Guilt-Free is Right!. I try to check out all the BEST OF BOSTON restaurants and this one was absolutely RIGHT ON THE MARK! GUILT FREE DINING!! The food is so fresh and healthy... vegetables and grains and juicy meats with almost no fat! How do they do that?

I have gone back several times and keep bringing more and more friends. Everyone loves it. The food and service is always been consistent. Everyone is always friendly and the colors in the place are bright and warm at the same time. I don't mind paying for excellent food, but at Aceituna, the cost is so reasonable! And now they're open at night and on Saturdays! Now we go before the movies (at Kendall Square). This place is a much needed oasis for those of us concerned about eating healthy AND delicious food.

fresh and scrumptious. A pleasant surprise! Old country food in a modern setting. Loved the variety: wholesome grains & vegetables and delicious meats; generous portions; helpful staff. Lebanese dishes are truly Mediterranean, many similar to cuisine of Israel, Greece, Turkey, and other southern European + North African places... One can even hear the international conversations at the tables! Last, but not least is the impressive cleanliness of the place. Check it out!

Great Food!. The food at Aceituna Cafe is delicious and healthy. The shawarmas are wonderful, and the white garlic sauce that goes with them is to die for! They have daily specials, so there is always something new to try. I love takeout because the portions are so generous I can easily feed myself twice from just one meal. The service is quick and friendly. I hear they are open evenings and Saturdays afternoons now, which is great news!

Worst Lunch Experience in Boston. The map is wrong, the people wouldn't answer the phone, and the one time that they did, responded with "Kendall Square." and hung up when asked where they were exactly.

After actually finding the place, there are approximately 3 items on the menu that I might actually classify as Greek/Mediterranean. The menu is very heavily Middle Eastern. I am quite befuddled as to how it got a 9.1/10 rating, but I guess people around here are like that.
