waste of money--you are paying for attitude

the place caters to an upper scale or wanna be clientele and you feel it as soon as you go in. instead of relaxing you feel that if you are not wearing the right attire you will be treated differently and to a place where you go to relax that is a total minus to say the least.
it was a rainy day when i got there, i was soaked from head to toe. as soon as i walked in they directed me to the basement where i was going to get a facial. the front desk person looked at me like i did not belong there at all and instead of going with me to show me where to change, she told me she was busy with a client (who was paying) and that i should go to the lockers by myself and that she will meet me there. i got into the changing area and i was confused about what to do, what to change into and where to go to meet the facial person. I was also very upset, here i am a new customer and the least they can do is tell me to wait one second to show me around instead of looking at me with disdain and showing me the way to the lockers. im sorry i did not look dry or dressed up like the other guests but i was soaked, tired and carrying a bunch of things and really looking forward to a nice relaxing experience and not have to deal with straight out attitude. the customers who were there were also not friendly at all and looked at you as if they were way above you.
aside from all this i got a facial which was OK but worth 1/2 the price of what I paid ($135).
EXHALE is NOT worth it at all, customer service should be key for places like this and definitely this is not the place to go to relax or to make your money's worth. i would recommend going to the sports club LA best facials in boston without the attitude believe it or not!
- Pros: clean
- Cons: customer service, ambiance, price
Clean, relaxing and friendly.

Had a couples massage recently. I really enjoyed the Swedish massage. The deep tissue massage was less relaxing. Not enough deep rubbing and too much deep prodding. I guess different people like different things... Great location near my hotel in the Back Bay and the place was really clean. One feels very relaxed as soon as you step into the spa. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience.
- Pros: Very Clean, Relaxing Atmosphere
- Cons: a little pricey, but not exorbitant
Great services, if you can afford it!

I went in to exhale on a sunday and had a massage (with sharon) and a spa pedicure. They were both awesome services. The pedicure was the best I have ever had. The only downside is that it was pretty expensive ($75 for spa pedi) and i can not afford to pay those prices on a regular basis.
- Pros: friendly staff
- Cons: expensive, parking
