Editorial Review for 711 Underground Bistro and Sushi Bar – by Eric Grossman
In Short
Formerly Jae's, 711 sports the same colorful dining environment, thanks to huge tropical fish tanks. Upbeat servers do their best to help patrons navigate the daunting menu (more than 100 items). The bar area serves as a stylish spot to enjoy a designer martini while watching a game. The kitchen's Pan-Asian offerings run the gamut from savory Korean bi bim bab and hearty udon noodle soups to creative sushi rolls.

I just recently had dinner on a saturday night with some friends from Manhattan. They wanted to have some sushi so we headed to 711 Boylston the food was great it was a very cool mixture of asian cuisine, I had the Big Papi Maki which was amazing by far one of the most creative rolls I have had in the city. After we enjoyed dinner and drinks we noticed that this place actually transforms into a nightclub with great lighting, dj's, and a great blend of beautiful people. We all had a blast definently would reccomend 711 boylston to those in search of a fully satisfying take on "dinner and drinks".
Pros: Amazing Food, Drinks, Ambiance and staff
Cons: If only Boston stayed open later!

I really don't understand this spate of bad reviews about 711. It's honestly one of my favorite places in Boston! Both the restaurant and club scenes are absolutely fantastic. Hands down, 711 has the best pad thai and sushi anywhere in the city--be sure to try the koliokawa roll and dynamite maki when you come. The service is always excellent, too, and the prices are really reasonable. The club scene rocks. The place has absolutely no pretensions--the security, cockail, and bar staff treat everybody super-friendly. Unlike other places, they never make people wait outside when it's only half-full inside. The drinks are strong and amazing--all beers are only $5, and basic cocktails are $8 (which, compared to other places around the city, is really fair). And... they have sushi til 1am. What more could you want from a night spot? The racism of the previous poster aside, the place has an awesome mix of different people--everyone can feel comfortable here during the club scene, and how many places can you say that about in Boston? Come for dinner, stay for dancing!
Pros: Service, crowd, posh surroundings, awesome sushi
Cons: Can get a little crowded some Fri. and Sat. club nights
