I had a terrible service experience at this dealership and will not consider returning. Even after the poor service, I sent an email to the service manage, Mr. Kittredge, and he never even followed up or acknowledged receipt of my email...a continuation of the poor service and the "I don't care" attitude you'll get at Coastal Nissan.
I spoke with the service technician on the phone and advised I would call him back within 30 minutes to authorize any of the work quoted. After an hour of attempts to reach him- all attempts were received by me being dumped into voicemail- I left a message on the machine. Following leaving the message, I again called back and was told by the front desk that they were "too busy" to get him on the phone but they assured me he checks voicemail frequently. Almost two hours later, I arrived to the dealership to find the technician and another employee standing in the service bay laughing and talking. I should note, the service bay was completely empty.
When I approached him about my car and about the message I left him, he advised me he had not "had time" to check his messages. When I voiced my frustration with him and my impression of him standing around laughing with co-workers while I had been waiting for a response, he quickly snapped at me and told me he had been "too busy" all day and I needed to "calm down". When I told him to "drop his attitude" he smart mouthed me and walked out of the shop.
I would never treat a customer like the service technician treated me. Not only did he not respond in a timely manner to my attempts to reach him, in fact he didn't respond at all, but he also was rude and belligerent rather than apologizing and attempting to fix the situation.
I will not be bringing my car back to there; it will be worth the extra drive for me to go to Quincy than to deal with their rude and delayed customer service.
I have purchased my last 2 vehicles from Coastal Nissan in Norwell. I also have all my service done there. The Sales staff and Service personnel are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Coastal Nissan to friends and family!
Just bought my first nissan and could not be happier with the experience at Coastal Nissan. I dealt with Dennis Werkheiser and he could not have been more helpful. He even came to my office to show me the new Altima and take my trade for evaluation. When it came time to complete the paperwork, everything was ready and did not consume alot of my time. Would highly recommend that you visit Coastal Nissan and Dennis for a great deal and a great experience.
I have purchased a few vehicles at Coastal Nissan and have enjoyed my experiences at the dealership. The entire Coastal staff made me feel comfortable and i never feel any pressure, whether I'm buying a vehicle or getting my vehicle serviced. i recommend Coastal Nissan to all.
I just leased a brand new Pathfinder from Coastal Auto Center. I dealt with Lance Ward in Cohasset. This is my 4th car from them and I always go back to Lance because of how great he is. He completes the transaction effortlessly and always with a big smile on his face!
We had an excellent experience buying a new vehicle at Coastal Nissan. Dennis Werkheiser is a great salesmen who never pressured us. He spent lots of time with us and made sure we understood all the details involving the vehicle. We would buy another car from him.

Worst dealership EVER!!! – I recently bought a used Murano at coastal Nissan. I had a terrible experience, not only with the sales department, but with the service as well. I called to test drive an SUV that I really liked. After the test drive, I was interested in purchasing the car, however, the sales associate, Eban seemed as though he was in a rush, and did not have the time of day to sit with me and answer questions. He was more interested in closing the deal, than giving me the information I wanted/needed. I bought the Murano because it appeared to be a great deal, and I loved it! I had a trade in that was only a year old, and they definitely could have given me a better price for the trade value. Between Eban and the finance department, no one ever called me back, I always had to call a couple of times before getting in touch with anyone. When I finally came to pick up the car, no one was ready for me, I had to wait at least 30-40 min before anyone helped me. I was upset becasue they did not relay to me the items I would need in order to get the car. I came from about an hour away, and would have been pissed if I didn't already happen to have the paperwork needed. Maybe had they ever called me back, I would have known exactly what I needed!
The gas tank was basically empty, the "complimentary" inspection sticker is non-existant unless you want to go to another one of their locations?? I felt the staff treated me as a "stupid girl" and cared less about my business.
Finally, I get the car home, and within a week, my battery died. I called the service department to let them know I was having the car jumped and would need a new battery. Believe it or not...THEY CHARGED ME for a new battery!!! I fought with the service associate regarding the LEMON LAW...and again, he could have cared less. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there! I will NEVER, EVER buy or service my car there again. As for referrals...forget it! This dealership SUCKED!!
Excellent Buying Experience – I recently purchased a used car from Coastal and had an excellent experience. While shopping around, I found that dealers often didn't disclose fees or took a trade value into account when listing the price. The price Coastal quoted me on the phone was the same price I got when I showed up to test drive the car. They actually did a little better. Ben and Shawn the finance person both took the time to answer all my questions, and I had a lot of them. I didn't feel pressured to buy because Coastal made me feel good about buying from them. I have since sent family to them, knowing they'll be treated right.
COASTAL NISSAN ARE FALSE ADVERTISERS – went to this dealership' coastal nissan of norwell ma., to purchase a pre-owned toyota rav4 today. the advertised price was $17,794. their website says the advertised price is the real price you pay, this is definitely not true.i travelled 45 minutes to get to the dealership, test drove the vehicle, and then sat down with brian sullivan the salesman to discuss the terms for the sale. brian went to the manager for approval and the manager came over to me and said he could not sell the car to me at the advertised price because the car was "MISTAKENLY" priced incorrectly. i asked the manager what the actual price would be and he told me $21,500. i left angry that i wasted almost 3 hrs with this whole process, and that they had the nerve to try to SCAM me out of almost $3000 dollars more than the advertised price. these people have no morals what-so-ever and are completely fraudulent. i am considering contacting the attorney general and the better business burea about this. i have a printed copy of the original advertisement. absolute textbook case of false advertisement. stay away from this dealership if you value your time. these people are not good people, and this dealership is unethical.
Poor service! – I have purchased 3 Nissan vehicles and thought I would try this dealership since it is closer to my house. Unless it is clear that you want to purchase a NEW vehicle you feel like you are an annoyance to them. I went to buy out my lease and they were less than helpful and unfortunately you cannot buy out your lease without going through a dealership. You cannot make an appointment to sign your paperwork with the finance department and they are in no hurry to assist you. I would recommend going to Clay Nissan in Norwood instead; they are much more helpful and efficient.
