“It is a trade off, because it is a really fun place to go, but I've got to be sure my paycheck has cleared before I go.”
“from the minute I walked in to Gypsy Bar I felt this great atmosphere of people who work hard all week and are ready to get dressed up enjoy some cocktails and have a good time on the weekend!”
“The smell was so foul and offensive that people had to take breaks from dancing to get fresh air in the front of the bar.”
“The place is nice inside, good decor and you feel the place is classy by the way it looks, but the crowd ruins it!”
“$10 for a house vodka drink, and a completely rude bartender in the back who told me "You tell your girlfriends not to come back here," AFTER I left her an unwarranted tip.”
“It wasn't fun, the air was pretentious, and the rude staff really ruined our evening.”
“Gypsy Bar is a cheap knockoff with an even cheaper imitation of a crowd full of wannabes.”

People just don't get it, there isn't a place like Gypsy Bar anywhere in Boston. I think the drinks are fairly priced for what you get, especially in Boston. I personally would rather be in an amazing atmosphere, with beautiful people and a good drink that cost a little more, be in than in some local dive bar paying $3 a beer. Gypsy Bar is truly the sexiest spot in town. I mean have you seen the people that go there, never mind the hot manager everyone talks about with the big blue eyes always in a sexy suit.
The woman at the bar was so helpful! I told her what I liked to drink and she made me a specialty drink that was delicious. Best bartender Ive seen in a while, her name was Sophia
I love the Atmosphere and the liquor selection. I felt like I was right at home. Next time I come back, I will be bringing all of my friends.
I came the night of the Halloween party. The weather was horrible, but everyone was in a great mood. The poor door guys got us in without barely a wait. Once we were in, the bartenders made great drinks, the crowd was sexy, and the music was bumpin! Overall it was a really great night and I'll definitely be coming back again.
Best Place to Dance.
Been here a couple of times and I can say that only FRIDAY night is their best night.
Music is great with DJ Gera, crowd is decent and drinks are average price for a Boston Club.
Best way is to get on the guest list. I called one of their main promoter, Ricken 857.277.2561. He helped us get on the list and got some of us free entry.
Decor is great, dance floor is decently sized.
Definitely a regular.
Hottest Club in Boston...by far!.
One of my favorite nightclubs in Boston playing the best house music and the best vibe to meet people. I was here when they hosted Bob Sinclar and the club was out of control. The women that are on the dance floor are top notch and some of the hottest in Boston.
The best part about the club compared to giant clubs in NYC is that even though its crowded, you can still move around and get through. I also love the jellyfish tank in the front behind the bar. I would deff go back over and over!
Needs to improve security...Nice Club Overall. it is a nice bar..I havent been out to a nightclub in a long time but I really liked it. Having a military background (Army), I usually notice things that need improvement especially securitywise. One thing that I noticed is that the club does not frisk/check people coming into the club to see if they are bringing in any contraband(guns,knives,drugs....) this is very dangerous. All in all it was a nice place to hangout.
Overrated.
This place is overrated. I am from Manhattan and this place needs to stop acting like their some fancy club in the Meatpacking District. Guess what?! You're not in friggin Soho--get over yourselves!
Let's start off by saying their bouncers SUCK! They think they're hot $*@!. And again, you're not in NYC. Dude, you probably can't read and you work at a friggin bar on Boylston Street in Boston! You're also like 5'5" and 120 lbs--seriously?! I had the same experience with a friend below with the sneakers. He wasn't even wearing sneakers--they were kind of loafer-like. In fact he had on the same shoes as this guy in front of us who got in. I am pretty sure the guys in front of us got in because of their race and my friend wasn't allowed to get in because of his race. This place should get sued and then they'll get off their high horse!
Inside it's always overly crowded with a bunch of gross smelly skeezy ethnic guys. They play alot of crappy house music and you can barely dance because it's so damn crowded!
I guess it's fine just to try out once--but, be prepared to be disappointed. I'm in law school right now and I think once I pass the bar exam, a lawsuit against Gypsy will be one of the first things I initiate. Anyone else in?
