Please go and form your own opinion – I have seen many poor reviews of this restaurant on this site as well as Yelp. People are more motivated to post poor reviews when they hate something rather than find time to post good ones when they have a great meal.

I frequent this restaurant about 2 or 3 times a year since it opened and have always had very good meals and excellent service. I work nearby and often walk by at all hours that it is open. The place is usually half full to full on most nights, and I think that says something. Though I have never been to this restaurant late in the evening or Thurs-Sat, I have always had great lunches or dinners on the Mon-Wed I have gone. (I never go out Thur-Sat)

The restaurant is small, but quaint. When it is full, it is a bit crowded and noisy but I don't think that takes too much away from it, just adds to the charm. What makes it nice by being small is that that your server is always in voice reach.

Please go. I suggest starting with the fried goat cheese salad, then whatever, it's all good.

Lousy – This place is the bottom of the barrel. I realy want to tell you how horrible it realy is. The owner and wife combo are extreamly mean and are constantly yelliny at there employees. The food is warmed then sent to the tables. The food is always over cooked and is exstreamly hot. What a rip off.

Very good food and atmosphere – Very good food, especially for the money. The restaurant itself is very quaint and beautiful. The service is very friendly. Although, the only time I have been (so far) was on a Monday night and it was not crowded at all. It might be different on a weekend. I walk by it all the time and it looks to be a very romantic place on the weekends. Highly recommend, all around.

not worth a special trip – I went on a date here hoping for a quiet dinner and enjoyable food. We were seated towards the kitchen on a bench seat that reminded me of a diner, not quite so romantic. Our waitress was nice and attentive, but kept getting interrupted by the manager/boss who seemed to feel the need to repeat things the waitress had already said and try to convince us he knew what we wanted to eat. We also heard him shouting at someone in the kitchen; this made us feel even more uncomfortable when he was breathing down our necks.

Now about the food: it's average, not really special but not bad. The salad was pretty good (lobster, crab, shrimp with avocado and mango) but a little heavy on the mayonnaise. It was a good portion to share because it feels heavy enough to be a main course (well for me at least). For my main course I had scallops which really could have been less chewy, but they were edible. My date had a pork chop which was also average, although the currant sauce on it was good.

If I was in the neighborhood and was really hungry I would stop in, just as long as the boss-man wasn't there. All the other staff were friendly and helpful, making sure our food was on time, glasses were full, etc.

The wine was good, they have a long list of French wines, we had a very good sauvignon blanc.

Overall, not worth a whole trip when there are so many better places.

Love it – This is an amazing place: food, service, atmosphere. Some of my favorite dishes are the sea food crepes with lobster bisque sauce and the grand marnier souffle for dessert! Authentic and friendly and it won't break the bank. Really a piece of Paris on the Hill. Bravo!

Caution...only order the wine! – I ordered the duck earlier this month at Pierrot, and I'm not a picky eater but I thought this was by far the worst duck I've ever had. Usually restaurants that serve it have above average chefs that can really prepare anything well, but Pierrot's version was extremely dry and just covered in sauce to mask the bad preparation. I was with four other people and everyone had similar complains about the lamb, steak and seafood. All of our plates were served extremely hot, which leads me to believe that the food was cooked in advance and possibly reheated. The staff was helpful in recommending wines to pair with the meals, but the food was so bad that the pairings didn't make much of a difference. The service was average, but for the second half of our dinner, our table was the only one in the restaurant so that doesn't really say much about that either. Overall, it may be decently priced for French food, but it certainly wasn't worth it compared to other restaurants in that price range.

Insulting Dining Experience – We took my adult son and his girlfriend to the resturant. My husband, having lived in France always love a good French meal. Unfortunately this was not to be.

To make a long story short, my son ordered Lobster Bisque soup and it had a burnt flavor to it. He told his father who told the waitress. She was obviously unhappy and huffed off into the kitchen. Out comes the owner of the resturant with the waitress and they proceed to tell my son the soup is not burnt. It is "special." I was not enjoying the way the were disrespecting my son who is quite a gormet cook himself. I chirpped in, "I tasted it and it has a burnt flavor." The owner did not take kindly to my assertiveness and glared at me and then huffed off into the kitchen. The waitress offered my son a different soup. He accepted french onion soup as a substitute. I wanted to leave because of the rudness of these people, but not wanting to make a scene, I just laughed to myself about French personality problems I had read about in travel magizines and from my husband's stories...

While we waited for dessert I went outside with my son to catch a quick smoke and the owner followed us outside! He proceeded to argue more about the dang burnt soup and insult us as well.

I returned to the table, told my husband to forget the dessert, I had enough rudness and was leaving. My husband confronted the owner and he began yelling at my husband about the burnt soup. It was quite a scene. We demanded the check so we could leave. The check came with the dessert charge. We had to argue some more with the queen bee waitress and finally a different woman came appologized and gave us a corrected check. We paid and left.

Now about the rest of the food...as good French resturants go, this was not one of those. The seafood crepe was gooy and soggy. The beef burgandy was over cooked and gummy thick with too much rue. Do yourself and favor and avoid this team of superior French dunces.

terrible main courses – Dinner took forever, even longer than in Europe. Salads were tasty, though oily. Main dishes had been sitting -- sauces all had a film on them. Seafood crepes were a gloppy mess. Ratatouille was inedibly salty. Side of potato or turnip was totally dried out and hard. All in all the worst food I have had on a plate in a long time.

too bad – I went last month for my birthday and I was really looking for a good dessert . The entree was ok ...still I was expecting something way better . The worse came with the dessert which was supposed to be a " chocolate souffle" ; I don't even know how to describe the thing .....kind of white and like an old chewing gum texture . I think that we keept eating it just to guess what it was !!!!! And NO chocolate at all ! I wish we could have talk to someone but we were so desperate that we just left . Plus it's way too expensive .Never again !!!!!
