The Scene – Moneyed middle-aged couples in search of an upscale dining experience spare themselves the trip downtown and head toward the Natick-Wellesley border to feast in elegant faux-palazzo environs. With dim lighting, velvet curtains and shimmering, illuminated pools of water, the restaurant's interior rivals those of the city's trendiest spots. Agreeable white-clad servers deliver audacious house cocktails made with ginger-infused vodka and fresh lychee. – – The Food – The kitchen's Mediterranean-Asian cuisine may not sound alluring in theory, but after enjoying…
Outstanding Evening
by WeeklyDine at Citysearch
We had an oustanding evening. All I can say is that we had amazing food and drink and probably the best service we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Staff welcomed us, truly appreciated our business and actually seemed to enjoy what they do and who they work for. Owners were out and about, talking and laughing with customers...it was as if everybody knew your name. Congratulations to Maxwells for doing it as it should be done. Everybody should try this restaurant...this is the type of family run business that everybody should support...can't wait to go back mid-week for their 3 course dinner for $29.99.

I brought a party of five friends to Maxwell's after hearing great things about the restaurant from a colleague. We were greeted warmly, and seated promptly at a great table in the back. Our server was friendly and accessible, answering all of our questions and even suggesting some delicious cocktails! The menu had something to suit all of our tastes, and even my vegetarian friend had several options. We were also thrilled by the extensive wine list, which the owner personally helped us navigate. The food was amazing! In addition, the exceptional ambiance, service, and quality made it a night that we will all remember fondly! We hope to return soon!
- Pros: Makes everyone feel like a VIP!
- Cons: Wish I could've tried everything!
