Editorial Review for Kings Restaurant – by Citysearch Staff
The Scene
The Back Bay's top bowling alley's in-house restaurant and lounge, Kings Restaurant caters to crowds of young professionals, many of them anxiously clutching the alley's pagers while waiting for a lane. To pass the time, young couples lean on the long bar's leather armrests while sipping trendy cocktails like red apple martinis. The dining area's dim lighting, votive candles and hip soundtrack yield an ideal environment for a casually romantic meal. Pleasant, youthful servers are always quick to offer another drink.
The Food
The menu, a tantalizing assortment of creative comfort food, makes this one of the Back Bay's better options for late-night eats. Sesame-ginger wings and fried potato rings with bacon and bleu cheese are both typical of the fun, social starters available. Entrees include marinated steak tips and homestyle meatloaf, and pizzas and burgers are offered as well. Homemade bon bons and Guinness floats round out the offerings.

Make a reservation! Me and my group were out for a bachelorette party and the wait was very long on the Bowling and Billiards side- so we had dinner in the Kings Restaurant. I was shocked how good it was. The menu was extensive and EVERYONE was so happy with their food. It was a great expierience and a bunch of us just went back this Tuesday for Trivia night. They do late night activities in teh Kings Restaurant every day. Trivia Tuesdays, Karaoke Thursdays and I don't remember what the other nights are but it is a great room.
Pros: Sleek Retro feel. AWESOME TV's!! FOOD IS GREAT!
Cons: None

I went to the deVille for a friend's birthday. The food & service were great. I kept on eyeing the pizzas on another party's table as well! I really loved the retro, old-Vegas feel of the place and the black leather banquettes. Even better, as we had made reservations, we were able to take advantage of their Priority Lanes program. As soon as we were done with dinner we got right onto the lanes at Kings! That made all the difference.
Pros: Atmosphere, Good eats, Priority Lanes
