Wraptastic. Boston really suffers from a dearth of excellent burrito places (even Anna’s isn’t world class) and the Boloco (A.K.A. The Wrap) is no exception. This doesn’t mean the chain establishment isn’t worth *something.* They have plenty of options to chose from and healthier substitution choices (e.g., brown rice, wheat wrap, tofu) if you’re so inclined. It’s a fast decent option for those looking for a little variety in their weekday lunch. In particular, I can vouch for the classic burrito, black beans, brown rice, tofu and wheat wrap being quality fuel for a two hours Torts lecture.
A Good Twist on the Mexican Burrito. Boloco is a good place to go to if you want chinese or american food wrapped up burrito style. I liked the twist on the burrito, but there's somewhat of a limited selection on the menu. One thing I really loved was the mango salsa. It's a great place if you're willing to try something totally new.
Fast and fresh burritos, smoothies and wraps provide for a filling meal at an affordable price..
In Short
A favorite of students and budget-minded folk in search of healthy, affordable fast food, this local chain provides an impressive selection of burritos, wraps, salads, soups and smoothies. Choose from over a dozen specialty wraps and burritos listed on the menu, or build your own masterpiece choosing from grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, tofu or roasted veggies. Those counting calories stick to fruity smoothies or crisp salads, all made to order.
There are many better options out there. This was quite possibly the worst burrito I have ever had. They claimed that it had "Cajun" seasoning, but there was no flavor at all. The chicken was dry, the tortilla was gummy, and the sour cream was all at the bottom. I honestly think I would rather have Taco bell.
Great. Creative wrap combinations. Don't be deterred by the long line; it moves very quickly. You can watch the efficient staff assemble these masterpieces. The small dining area is ok in the summer when you can head to PO Square but it's a bit of a challenge in the winter. I wish they would deliver for corporate orders.
