The Scene
Situated in a former warehouse in one of Route 9's ubiquitous strip malls, Minado's bright, high-ceilinged dining room offers seating for the largest of groups and clear walking lanes, even when it's filled with large groups. Kid-friendly pricing (those under two-and-a-half feet eat free) makes this a family favorite. Dutiful servers are quick to clear used plates, while buffet-station workers are pleased to explain any unfamiliar dishes.
The Food
Discussion of the seemingly endless buffet (more than 100 offerings) must begin with the exceptional sushi: Highlights include huge pieces of freshly-sliced salmon sashimi or made-to-order California rolls. (Baked lobster tails don't fall under the buffet's all-you-can-eat realm; they're limited to one per person.) Diners who pry themselves away from the sushi bar find dozens of hot (tender beef teriyaki) and cold (giant snow crab legs) options, as well as a made-to-order hamachi table. Desserts include tea cakes and melon slices.

dinner price i feel is expensive--29/ person which is much more than normal chinese restuarant. But I really enjoyed their sushi. Even some of my japanese friends said it is so good.

I was a little skeptical of the idea of a Sushi buffet but the food was amazing and fresh. They had so much to offer that anyone could find something they would love.

Don't expect the best quality raw fish here and don't expect your makis to be tightly rolled. It's a buffet after all. The plates of raw fish replenish itself very slowly and so on the weekend, you might actually eat through the entire bufet without ever getting to a slice of salmon. People fight over a fresh plate of raw fish. Get in line and stay in line with two plates in your hand -- no need to be polite here. If you prefer handrolls, you can ask one of the chefs behind the counter to make you one. Usually they don't refuse unless they are super busy. The hot food selections are quite decent, too. A buffet worth its steep price!

When to Go:
Avoid a $2 surcharge on weekends and holidays by partaking of the buffet Monday through Thursday.
Know Before You Go:
The buffet price doesn't include beverages: Sodas, coffee and green tea all come with free refills and cost only $1.50.
Where to Sit:
To enjoy your meal in relative peace, opt for a table on the outskirts of the dining room; it's farther away from the buffet, but also from its teeming lines.
