Boston >Isaac's Relocation Svc
“They have indicated interest in doing nothing of the kind, even when they are confronted with detailed evidence of the gross negligence of their customer service department.”
“As it that were still not enough, even though they have acknowledged full responsibility for this matter, they have offered to reimburse only half of the value of the dining room table, even though I have provided them with every last bit of documentation”
My girlfriend and I have moved four times, each time we used a different mover because we were never happy with the movers. The last move was different though, this time we used Issac's.
The crew of three worked incredibly fast and hard in one of the most hot and humid days of last summer. I don't think they were going to take a break until we offered them some bottled water and told them to take 5. They drank the water quickly and went right back to work and never took another break. I couldn't believe it, it was so hot and humid.
Our furniture and personal items arrived at our destination in perfect shape. No scratches, dings or any breakage.
I will never use anyone else but Issac's. The most professional movers I've had the pleasure to trust.

It has now been nearly seven months that Isaac’s Moving and Storage emptied the contents of my storage crate, delivering most of my belongings intact.
That said, I value not most of my belongings, but all of them; otherwise, I would not have paid to store them or have them moved by Isaac’s. The areas of storage and delivery are the first two of three important areas where Isaac’s has been a shocking failure.
It was in August 2009 that I had paid them to deliver to my new apartment a dining room table that had been in Isaac’s Philadelphia storage facility since August, 2007. The day of the move, I was starting to arrange my dining furniture when I realized that the movers had delivered the legs of my dining room table, without the table top. When the movers verified that they were not able to locate the legs of the dining room table, they placed calls into the Philadelphia and Brighton offices, so that other Isaac’s employees could investigate the matter. Although I spoke with an Isaac’s representative that afternoon, and was assured that I would receive a prompt return phone call, no one from Isaac’s ever made an attempt to contact me over the next four months, as my telephone and email records confirm.
As if it were not shocking enough that it took Isaac’s four months to respond to my initial claim, and even then only after I contacted Isaac’s again, what has happened ever since is equally troubling .
When I was informed of the requirements for finalizing my claim submission on December 24th, 2009, via an email from Ms. Paula Moyal, I procured all the necessary paperwork and submitted everything within two weeks. Although I had an assurance from Isaac’s that my claim would be handled “without delay” once I submitted it, I have now been waiting more than eight additional weeks for my reimbursement to be processed. As it that were still not enough, even though they have acknowledged full responsibility for this matter, they have offered to reimburse only half of the value of the dining room table, even though I have provided them with every last bit of documentation that they have demanded. At this point, I am left to wonder if this is standard customer service from their company, and have requested that the Director of Customer Service at Isaac’s conduct an investigation into the handling of my claim. They have indicated interest in doing nothing of the kind, even when they are confronted with detailed evidence of the gross negligence of their Customer Service department.
To their credit, the work ethic and friendliness of movers themselves has been outstanding, if not fully competent. If you decide to hire them, just pray you never, ever have to contact their Customer Service department for any reason at all.
Company is not reccomended outside MA. They they did the pickup they did a great job packing up my items and loading them on the truck. I was moving from Boston to Atlanta. When they arrived in Atlanta after around a week, they hired some local guys (who were not movers, but more like day workers) to move my stuff. They proceeded to damage several items. I was happy that I bought extra insurance to cover the damage. After giving them detailed pictures of the damage they refused to pay for the damages caused. I ended up getting $625 (I had a $500 deductible) for well over $2500 of damage. I have to eat the rest of the costs, they they could care less. Not good customer service, or response time. I do not recommend them, I would have gone with Gentile Giant had I known about the business practices of Issacs.
YOU BE THE JUDGE.
Our salesman was William Lefevre He came to our house and gave us an estimate of $5402. It was based on 6000 - 7000 lbs. The reality was 11,000 lbs and a cost almost double what we were quoted. ($8500) We were told by Issacs that we had a lot more stuff than they anticipated. I call it low balling. We were told that we would have 3 packers at our house. In fact we had only 2. Instead of taking 4-6 hours it took them almost 12 hours. We had a few surprises, one of which is we ran out of boxes we purchased on the Internet and had to buy some from Issacs. The guys packed a few boxes for us but William our salesman neglected to tell us that they charge $45 for packing even a small box." look out for this little secret".
The arrival was about 9 days later. The 2 men like the packers were fantastic workers, very professional and helpful. Again we were supposed to have 3 helpers and again we received only 2. It took them almost 12 hours to unload.
All our "fragile cartons of glass and pictures wardrobe boxes and 50" plasma TV were on the bottom row of the truck and the heavy cartons containing books, heavy kitchen utensils etc. were on top of them. Six of the wardrobe boxes were completely crushed. The result was two broken antique clocks, a broken glass on a very valuable antique ships lantern. A broken piece off an antique vanity. A broken glass on a 3' by 6' lithograph. Miraculously the 50" plasma screen was still working. We took out a $60,000 insurance policy but it was a $250 policy. We have not had time to completely unpack all our cartons so we don't know what else is broken or missing. You be the judge of the service offered by this company.

Total professionals. I used Isaacs for a move into Boston and it went great. They came to my house, loaded all my stuff on the truck, delicately id like to add, so nothing was broke. We got into the city and they had my stuff unloaded and into my apartment in no time. I didnt have to spend a fortune for such great service which is always nice. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs to move in the area.

The price was on point, the movers were courteous, and all my items successfully made it to my new home unscathed. I recommend them to anyone I know who is moving because their service is exemplorary. They are good people and treat their clients right.
