Joao is the best!. I read Joao's bio on the Will Charles website and I was intrigued by his name! He's portuguese (Joao is John in portuguese) and he is an extremely talented hairdresser. He was an artist before dedicating his profession to hair and it shows! He really listens and takes into account the shape of a person's face and features before recommending a style. I'm been seeing him now for over a year and LOVE his haircuts. I sent friends who are also Joao converts. His blow-outs are also amazing. Highly recommend him and the salon.

Will Charles Salon. I saw Anna for a haircut and blowdry.She is amazing!She gave me a great consultation and I now have the best haircut I've ever had,and just in time for all of my Holiday parties!I am telling all my friends about her.You have got to go see her!Very friendly:)

Perfect for pampering!!.
I had at a fantastic experience at Will Charles. For starters, I did use a groupon that for $65 gave you massage, hair masque, gloss treatment, and cut and blow out. The salon itself is on the second floor of Newbury so if you arent watching the numbers you can miss it all together. I recommend taking the T to Arlington - because it is literally a 3 minute walk from the t stop.
My stylist was Kerry Lee and she did an amazing job on my hair, which is long and extremely thick. I brought in pictures of Leighton Meester's layers and a few other pictures to convey how I wanted my hair. Kerry spent over an hour cutting the layers into my hair, alternating between blow drying and then cutting more. My hair looks and feels great and once I am able to afford a non-groupon price haircut I will return!

It was not as amazing as I thought. I had a haircut at Will Charles after reading so many good reviews about this place. On the day I had my hair cut, it was done super fast, within 20min. My hair looked kind of OK, not amazingly great as others said. But next day I went to work, no one realized I had a haircut and within one week, my hair looked very dull and boring. I don't recommend as much as others do about this place.

best haircut ever. This place was fantastic in many ways. First and foremost they are excellent at cutting hair. I've tried lots of places and this is the best cut I've had in many years. In addition to doing a great job, Eric asked all the right questions: What are you looking for? How short? What kinds of styling do you do with your hair? Are you willing to put products in your hair? In the end, he created a haircut I love that's also low maintenance. Great! In addition to getting a great haircut, I had a great overall experience at the salon. The environment is beautiful and the people are extremely nice and professional.

Amazing stylists without the newbury snobbery.
I've been in Boston for a little over 3 years, and prior to going to Will Charles, had yet to find a hair stylist that I liked enough to go back to again. I had tried a handful of Newbury St salons, most of which were undeservedly over-priced. After hearing about Will Charles Salon from Groupon I decided to give it a try, but wasn't expecting much. Patrick cut my hair, and I was asking for a risky hair change that could have ended up disastrous given he had never cut my hair before. WOW, was I pleasantly surprised. He did exactly what I asked for and envisioned, and it was like he had been cutting my hair for years. I now have a super chic, stylish haircut that provokes nearly daily compliments and am more than happy to say that I've been back to Patrick....twice. I would pay more for his haircut and not think twice, but another great benefit is that haircuts are only $55.
Summary: the salon is the best on Newbury and Patrick rocks out uber-chic cuts!

New name, new owners, GREAT experience!!!. Billy and Erik have transformed the old Runway Salon into an exciting new endeavor: Will Charles Salon! The talent is still top-notch and now the environment is more positive and friendly than ever. I had the keratin treatment done with Billy and my hair feels better than it ever has!!

Excellent!!!. I've been coming here for several years now and have my hair done by Billy and Erik. I am always happy with my hair but the change of atmosphere is just icing on the cake :) LOVE THEM!!!

Great hair, great atmosphere. Since Billy and Erik formed Will Charles Salon, the atmosphere at 11 Newbury Street has really turned around. I have been going to this salon for almost four years and the change is dramatic since Nino left. Everyone is so friendly and the place is so inviting. Billy has been doing my color this entire time and I have the most natural blonde highlights. I get a lot of compliments and I always enjoy my experience.

Will Charles Salon is not Runway Salon. Will Charles Salon occupies the space at 11 Newbury st. formerly housing Runway Salon. Although some of the same stylists work here, it is not affiliated in any way with Runway Salon. Nino is gone!
