Took FOREVER. Went in on a Friday night, parking was scarce, but I was still optimistic. Unfortunately the hour we eaited after placing our order was rather disappointing. Waiters were impossible to track down and water glasses and questions about where our food was were empty and unanswered. The sushi itself was quite good and the price was fantastic. However, after waiting an hour for our food it hardly seemed worth the effort. Save your money and time.

Great bargain. I love Zen 320! I go there at least once a week. If you go here, please do not expect Fugakyu/Oiishi quality sushi. But if you just enjoy sushi and are ok with Whole Foods sushi quality at half the price, then this is your place. I recommend ordering in if you live close by.

Modest Brookline Village eatery grabs the spotlight with creative, inexpensive sushi and Korean fare.. The Scene
Zen 320's narrow, L-shaped dining room provides a quiet, unassuming spot for local couples to sip green tea and slurp bowls of spicy fish stew. Solo diners belly up to the small sushi bar to watch ex-pat chefs turn out inventive rolls (where else can you find a "Texas roll" that features sliced barbecue beef and spinaeh?). Pleasant, reserved waitresses serve up selections from an affordable beverage menu that features several hot and cold sakes.

The Food
While many patrons come for the dirt-cheap sushi, others stop by for bargain bento boxes served day and night. Adventurous diners indulge in Korean specialties, most of which (mussel stew, spicy conch) are unfamiliar to Western palates. House salad, a refreshing assemblage of seaweed topped with slices of raw tuna, salmon and fluke, is a serviceable starter. Top choices among the seafood-heavy entree list include tender salmon teriyaki and spicy pan-fried squid.

Disappointed!. We are from Japan and expected an authentic dish there. Though the interior looked Japanese, sushi in lunch menu was disappointing. That is fake one. There are several good Japanese restaurants in Boston and I hope you guys not to waste your time and money.

Great Food, Price, Service and Atmosphere. Went there for the first time and it was excellent! It is very cheap and the food is amazing. Get the Texas box and you will not regrete it. The sushi is half price, and the waiters do an amazing job. They give you a free salad everytime, and the Miso soup is tasty. Go, drink and enjoy!

Just Okay. While Zen certainly provides the low prices it is know for, the quality of the food is slightly lacking. The sushi simply wasn't as fresh as sushi has to be. The same may be said of the restaurant's decor which had a dark ambiance to it along with paintings of fish which eerily resembled the characters from "Finding Nemo." The service, however, was impecable and street parking in this section of Brookline Village is very easy. Its a shame the fish wasn't a little fresher. Nice try Zen.

A bargain!. If you're having a sushi craving but your wallet is feeling light, head to Zen. While not "fine dining", it definitely has nice sushi, salad and shumai. The spicy tuna is not traditionally done but is good. The Apple crab roll is delicious. You won't be disappointed.
