In Short
This Lyons Group (Kings, Avalon) venture is adorned with tiki adornments like wood carvings and tortoise-shell lanterns. But the room's real Hawaiian punch is its Lansdowne Street location: Baseball fans spill over from Fenway Park, knocking back beers at the circular wooden bar, while club kids converge for Scorpion Bowls and pu pu platters that are served into the late hours. Food offerings include upscale sandwiches and fish tacos.

After reading a previous review I almost missed a great night out. I heard some good things about Tiki Room so I decided to check it out for myself (with 15 of my closest friends). My friend order the beef noodle dish that a previous reviewer condemned. The server explained the noodles on this dish were cold but we could substitute fried rice instead which we did. The tropical drinks were great and the food was tasty. There is an initial sticker shock at the $36 pu pu platter and a $24 scorpion bowl (it is 60oz) but when you do the math splitting things up between four or so people it really isnt that bad. Tiki Room is a fun and casual place for group dining with a cool late night scene. I will be back soon for another Mai Tai, Coconut Mojito and Smores!

I went to Tiki Room last night after visiting Boston Beer Works. it wasnt bad except for the price... $6 for a beer. i ordered three soco lime and three yeager Bombs, and it came out to about $50. but your in the most popular place so it is to be expected. very good music and a nice crowd. but it was also too crowded at the same time. it needs a bigger dance floor.

I have never eaten at a place with worse food or worse service. I have been here twice and have never experienced such rude and unattentive service in my life. We had a reserved party for 30 and none of the food was ready, people were sitting in our seats, and we had to go inside to the bar to get drinks, because the waitress refused to come to our table. The food, once it did come, was so greasy and overcooked that it was inedible. And don't even bother with the overpriced mixed drinks- there's no alcohol in them!!! DON'T GO!!!!
