WHO KNEW..... .::.Okay I'm one of those people who goes out when the weather forecaster says don't.. go outcome mile an hour wind or something wind... I made to my appointment at FRJS....I no sooner had my coat off.. when the front desk asked..politely..would you like a cup of coffee or..something other than coffee..wow

no line ..no waiting..I said sure..Before i got my coffee she confirmed my appointment with Christine..I mentioned that I was early..before i even finished my coffee..Christine was presenting herself..she asked if i wanted to finish my coffee.while we talked about what I wanted and what she would suggest..great..day is looking good..I want to mention that Portland street has the metered paper sticker you buy and put on your window..I love that....so parking is available..and then there's the T..that's what i took

Christine was very gentle..don't get me wrong..I like a good scrub..but I have neck and shoulder issue..I was very impressed that she knew..I had mentioned it when making my appointment by phone..so when I started to say hey be careful with my neck.....Christine asked me..IF I was okay and did my neck have enough support ..before she started washing my hair..again I'm' thinking..I like this place..is it to good to be true...I forgot to mentioned that I have salt and pepper hair..In the past..when they would see grey hair..they want to color it..I think its to make a buck..by the way..The owner(because i asked) was giving a demonstration to 3 employees...From what I understand..FRJS..recently had a big spread for Platinum Wedding..where the spread was outstanding as Christine pointed to several pictures hanging or leaning around the salon..that's when I noticed..hello I was relaxed and didn't notice till Christine pointed..that the salon had over a dozes awards...I ended up getting a beautiful hair cut..I love it..and my guy loves it..its a little longer than I usually get..but the little bit longer really framed my face..he likes it and I love it..before leaving I made another appointment.for me and my guy..not together..he works near the garden..that's how i found out about FRJS..He would say you need to go there ..I see a lot of pretty girls come out of there..I said that's all you better do is look..LOL...Hey they got facials and foot massage..THATS NEXT...great place ..Good Karma

RUDE OWNER! Bad customer service. I can't explain how rude the owner was to me. I tried to called to make an appointment but he hang me up. I called and said I brought a a groupon deal and was wondering if i can come in for it today. He ask what it was for, I said it was like wash, cut and Im not sure. He scream at me and said you should of know it and write it down before you called. He was very loud and rude. He said I can;t hear you and hang up. The second time when I called back, I ask if i can speak with a manager because I believe you are very rude to me. He said he was the owner of the store and said he put out a deal on groupon and now you called for trouble. I said I told you I had a groupon deal and you specificly know what I was coming in for then how come you keep yelling and asking me what I was coming in for. He then said I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU! GOODBYE> He hung up on me again.

HOW RUDE CAN HE BE? I am a customer and all he did was yelling and hanging up on me.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Great value, great owners. Owned by Ben and Rich, this salon is not only where I go to get my hair cut, but also who I chose to do the hair and makeup for my wedding. They are always here to help guide you through what you're looking for and what will work for you. There's no need to go to a Newbury St salon and pay over double the price, as this salon could operate and look exactly how it does now and fit right in if it were to move to Newbury St. Very accessible by public transportation and street parking is easy, so long as there's no event at the Garden at the same time.

Newbury Street Cheater. I use to spend my hair days on Newbury Street but after getting laid off last fall my budget doesnt really work with the prices there. I happened to stumble upon this place through a living social certificate I bought. Had a haircut and conditioning treatment with Sara, who new you could get a quality service at a non ridiculous price. The manicure was great to. I will probably not go back to Newbury Street, not when I can get the same thing here.

First salon experience. I'm usually a barber shop kind of guy, use to $15 haircuts. My girlfriend bought me a groupon certificate for a scalp treatment, haircut and manicure (yeah I know what dude gets his nails done) So anyways I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I went. Scalp treatment was awsome, something about a cute girl rubbing my head really isn't such a bad thing. Had my haircut with David, got a good cut with free line ups in the future. The manicure was good to, I will admitt I enjoyed it. Maybe now I'm a salon guy?
